先说通讯：自古以来，我们的通讯就不大方便：原始时期的“叫喊、吼声”，然后是有了文字与语言出现了的“飞鸽传书”，直至后来的电报通信。每一步都是历史性的创新。现在，我们几乎人人都有手机，家家都有电脑。有事打个电话、发个短信，事情就解决了。而这些都与网络有关，没了网络该有多大的不便！
当然，有了网络，工作也快捷了。
首先，办公用的资料不会占地方，没有的再百度，怕忘记再保存在电脑里，实在不行添一个备份；如若客户在较远的地方，还可以视频，不必担忧；想要的东西还可以网购，不怕再怕没有，不必再有担忧。
对于我们这些学生，网络可以辅助：资料、问题都可百度。偶尔关注微博、QQ，空暇时还可娱乐、休闲。
但是网络不是只有“利”，他也有一些弊端。
不少人沉迷网络：公交车上总有几个人低着头在摆弄手机，成了所谓的“低头族”；网吧中不少青年通宵打电玩，导致猝；学生们过度沉迷网络，而误入歧途；由于网络的诱惑，大部分人导致近视。
虽说学生有着家长在限制，网吧也有国家施行的限制（未成年人），但是这种情况并未有多大缓解，不让我们接触网络也无法实行。现在，网络几乎不能与我们分离……
网络，很现代；但是，现代总会有弊端。
