可是好景不长，一天他的妈妈突然昏倒了，小羊急的全身发热，手上直冒冷汗，羊妈妈有气无力地说：“我——想——喝——水。”可是声音既轻又模糊，后来羊妈妈用手指指了指嘴巴，聪明的小羊很快就明白了。于是飞快地奔向小河，谁知那条小河已经干枯了，他又奔向别的小河，可是也被小狗给霸占了，小羊泄气地说：“我妈妈需要水，如果再不给她拿去，她可能会······”
可是不管小羊怎么说，无情无义的\'小狗们，还是不肯给他一点水源。最后他只好去一条没人敢靠近的小河，因为他想是母亲把自己生出来的，如果没有她就没有自己，所以他为了自己的妈妈，他愿意。可是水里有许多脏东西，于是他先用自己的腿把脏水踢开，再把干净的水一滴一滴地放进去。
到了家里小羊把自己灌来的水位给妈妈，然后在照顾年老的母亲，不出五天，羊妈妈的病就好了。可是羊妈妈发现最近小羊的脸色不好，一问才知到小羊也生病了，而且还发高烧呢，羊妈妈听了，眼泪情不自禁地流了下来。

一个风和日丽的上午，兔子姐妹一起来到河边玩耍，河边的景色真美丽，花儿点着头，柳树弯着腰，风儿轻轻地吹着。
一只已饿三天三夜的老虎，看见了正在玩耍的兔子姐妹，老虎赶紧躲进草丛里，心里暗暗高兴：哈哈，这两只小白兔细皮嫩肉的\'，可以当我的午餐拉!看来我真是命不该绝呀!想着想着，老虎就滴滴答答地流下口水来了。老虎眯着眼睛，添着胡子，嚼动嘴巴，像是已经吃到美味香甜的兔子肉似的。
老虎悄悄地窜出来，溜到河边，张开盆大口，露出锋利的牙齿，嘴里发出“啊呜”的吼声，向兔子姐姐猛扑过去。突然窜出来这么一只老虎，兔子姐姐吓得魂不附体，兔姐姐一把推开兔妹妹说：“妹妹，快跑，这儿我挡着。”兔妹妹摇摇头，勇敢地说：“不，要一块!”它们沿着河边跑啊跑啊，眼看自己就要成为老虎的口中之物，就在这千钧一发在树旁乘凉的大象伯伯看见了，急忙跑了过来，急中生智，“砰”的一声，用自己粗壮的腿狠狠地把老虎踢开了，老虎痛得哇哇叫。
还没等老虎反应过来，大象又用它的长鼻子把老虎卷起来，狠狠地摔在了地上，老虎动弹不得，趁这工夫，大象又把老虎卷起来，把它仍进了河里。哈哈，老虎被河水淹了!兔子姐姐欢呼起来。他们围着大象伯伯唱啊，跳啊，大象伯伯还用鼻子卷起了兔子姐妹，他们十分高兴!
