summer can be very hot in southern taiwan where the temperature usually goes up to 32"c or more. because of the heat it is a trying experience to go to school or do anything else in a place that is not air-conditioned. also because of this i stay at home most of the time during the summer vacation and only occasionally go to the beach to plunge myself into the cool water as a way to keep my body less sticky.
actually i like swimming and think nothing is more refreshing than a swim. in the summer vacation that has just ended i went swimming many times with my classmates and we all had a good time. this summer vacation, however, was not spent entirely in seeking fun. as a second-year senior student i had to prepare myself for the college entrance examinations that were only a year away. in other words, i must find time to study, too.
so i divided my time between work and play during the summer vacation and derived much benefit from this arrangement.

the summer vacation had come round again. i was happy that i could forget about school at least for a while. lest i fool around all through this summer vacation, i made a plan as to how to spend it. first, i thought i should go over all those things my teachers taught in the previous term so that i could have a better understanding of them.
then i thought i should take up some forms of exercise, such as walking, running and rowing, to keep me physically strong. it stood to reason that with such a good plan i should make the best of my vacation time. i did, because i lived up to what i had planned.

妈妈终于出门了，我顿时乐开了花。虽说妈妈叫我在回家前做好作业，但现在才十二点钟而已，妈妈回家还早得很呢。我连忙跑去打开电脑，玩起了电脑游戏。我玩了大约半个小时，我心里开始矛盾起来，万一妈妈有特殊情况提早回家，那我不就惨了吗？犹豫之中，我还是选择了做作业。于是，我放下手中的鼠标，拿起笔开始写起了字帖，正当我写到一半的\'时候，电脑里传出了一片响声，原来是有人在QQ上呼我。我放下手中的笔，一下子又沉入了电脑游戏中，早将妈妈的话抛到九宵云外了。在玩游戏的每一分钟似乎都比往日过得要快了多。没想到，我一玩就玩了两个多小时，时间已经是两点多了。我连忙拿起笔写起了字帖，过了一会，终于完成了字帖的任务，只剩下了一篇作文了。我刚刚要开始写作文时，电脑好象跟我过不去似的，从电脑又传出一片响声。原来是一部我心仪已久的电视连续剧开播通知，没办法我又一次投入了电脑的“怀抱”之中。没想到我电视剧一看就看到了四点多。正当我要去写作文时，已经是”亡羊补牢，为时以晚”了，妈妈已经回家了，我只好乖乖地向妈妈交代了一切，我象一只听话的小羊，妈妈看见我这样，真不知道怎么惩罚我，只好狠狠地骂了我一顿。
虽然今天我被妈妈骂了一顿，但是今天过得可真是“爽”啊！不过我想还是不要再有这样的事情了。

这个暑假我去了南京旅游，参加了全国青少年百集成语微电影拍摄，参加了小记者协会暑期公益特训营，每周还坚持上了美术、书法、拉丁舞培训班，读了老师指定的10本课外书，过得很忙碌、很精彩、很开心。
6月28日，我和爸爸、妈妈还有奶奶一起去南京旅游，主要是去参观雨花台烈士纪念馆，接受了爱国主义思想教育。让我懂得了这么美好的新中国生活是革命烈士用鲜和生命换来的，我一定要珍惜现在这样好的生活，好好学习，做一名新时代优秀的学生。我写的《参观雨花台烈士陵园有感》文章发表在7月8日的浔阳晚报《小荷尖尖》栏目。
7月7日，我参加了全国青少年百集成语微电影九江站的拍摄，我拍的成语故事是《爱屋及乌》，意思是爱这个房子也爱房子上的乌鸦。妈妈告诉我比如她爱我，也爱我的优点、缺点、爱我所有的一切意思。我在戏中演的是纣王的亲戚箕子，一个高个子男孩演纣王，胖点的男孩子演比干，我们台词背得熟，所以拍的很快，导演夸我们三个很棒呢。
7月11日，妈妈陪我去九江日报社参加了小记者协会组织的“新闻写作”培训班，讲课的洪老师是一个白头发慈祥的老人，他教我们消息、通讯的.写作方法。要记住5W+1H，和语文老师讲的写作文“什么人、什么地点、什么事情、什么景物、做得怎么样、心情如何”有点差不多。不过洪老师说新闻都是要写最真实发生的事情。小记者们都非常认真的听他讲课，并作了详细的笔记。下课后，我搂着洪老师和他聊天，说我好喜欢听他讲写作课噢！我从他后面围着他的脖子，洪老师就背起我来，觉得他真像爷爷一样亲切呢。
7月15日，有播音主持的老师发短信妈妈，通知我8月份去九江小学参加“少儿口才和播音主持”特训营，好期待噢。妈妈把我的“自我介绍”视频发给口才老师，他给我三个大拇指点赞呢。我一定要好好学习口才，好好表现。因为我最喜欢上台表演了，还喜欢认识很多新朋友。
