有一天大树觉得自己老是晕头转向的，过了几天，大树生病了，它请了很多医生，都没治好它的病。
后来它请来了一只啄木鸟医生，啄木鸟说：“你的病是你身体里长虫子，所以你以后一定要好好吃饭，增强体质。”大树说：“我会好好吃饭的，快点治病吧。”
啄木鸟飞到大树的跟前用嘴巴快快地啄，啄了一下说：“你的病治好了。”大树说：“谢谢你，啄木鸟。”啄木鸟赶紧说：“不用谢，不用谢，我还要给其它树治病呢。”
从此，大树又枝繁叶茂了，还有许许多多的小鸟到它的枝叶上安家呢

从前有一只啄木鸟，它有两个小小的黑眼睛，黑白相加的羽毛，尖尖的爪子，还有张尖利无比的嘴。如果有哪棵树生病了，他会用最快的速度飞去给大树治病，大家都叫它“啄木鸟神医”。
星期天啄木鸟正悠闲地在空中飞翔，突然它看见一棵树脸色苍白，头发变得黄黄的，甚至还有往下脱落。啄木鸟连忙飞到大树面前问：“大树，你怎么啦？”大树痛苦的呻吟着：“我……我……我生病了。”啄木鸟安慰它说：“别怕，我这就给你治病。”它把尖尖的嘴伸进树里，一只一只的把虫叼出来。干了半个小时，终于叼完了，累得啄木鸟满头大汗。看到大树脸上好了一些，啄木鸟说：“虫子已经被我叼走了，你休息几个日子就会好的。”大树感激地说：“谢谢你。”
过了几日，大树又恢复了生机，长出了许多青绿的叶子。

一个阳光明媚的星期天，啄木鸟医生来到一棵白桦树下，发现白桦树有一只虫子，就快速飞过去，捉到嘴里，白桦树说：“去去去，一边去，你弄疼我了！”啄木鸟说：“对不起，白桦树爷爷，我不是故意的，下次一定轻点。”第二天，啄木鸟又来了，这一次，它小心翼翼的。然而此时白桦树又一次赶走了啄木鸟，他认为自己很健康。
慢慢地，白桦树身上的虫越来越多，它感到全身无力。这时，森林王国的使者--蜜蜂飞到白桦树旁，它关切地问：“树爷爷，您怎么了？为什么您没有精神？“我也不知道啊！”白桦树的声音十分地小。“呀，您的身上有好多虫子，会不会因为这个？”蜜蜂急切地说。白桦树“不可能，这对我没有什么伤害。”蜜蜂说：“虫子对您威胁可大了，我现在就去找医生。”
蜜蜂来到啄木鸟的家，向啄木鸟说了白桦树爷爷生病的情况，啄木鸟二话不说，飞向白桦树那里，不一会儿，白桦树的病就治好了。
蜜蜂对白桦树说：“树爷爷，啄木鸟被森林国王封为‘森林医生’，他是不会害了您。”白桦树为自己之前的行为感到十分地抱歉，并向啄木鸟道歉。啄木鸟接受了白桦树的道歉，并且定期为白桦树进行健康检查。
从白桦树与啄木鸟身上，我学习到，在别人对自己提供帮助时，一定要虚心接受！
