the radius of the earth is about 6,370 kilometres. it takes the earth 24 hours to rotate once. objects on the earths equator move with the earth at a speed of 460 metres per second, and the air close to the earths surface turns at the same speed. if the earth stopped rotating suddenly, the air would keep flowing eastward at a speed of 460 metres per second. the wind would be fourteen times as powerful as a hurricane. at the same time sea water would rush eastward at a speed of several hundred metres per second, which might do damages much greater than a seaquake would do. obviously, men could hardly stand such a catastrophe.
even if such a catastrophe would not happen, there would be a great temperature difference on the two hemispheres of the earth, and the four seasons of the year would no longer occur because a day and a night would be as long as a whole year instead of 24 hours. all this would greatly affect the life of human beings, imals and plants and that would cause worse results than anything imaginable.

星期五下午第一节是音乐课。当预备铃打响后，班长洪雨晨在黑板上写了这样一句话：通知：这一届音乐课在教室里上。当这几个字印入我的眼帘时，我感到非常奇怪，因为，这节课是本周的第二节音乐课，是要练习口风琴的。但是，如果在班里八十二个同学一起吹的话，声音会非常大，影响其它班上课。
上课铃响了。我们学校的大队辅导员——张刘钢老师走进教室，大家都非常奇怪，有的同学说：“咦？怎么是张老师，这节课不是音乐课吗？”有的同学说：“不会吧！难道我们的音乐老师换成张老师了？”我对我的同桌，非常爱看书，而且眼睛上有一副近视镜的男生——刘润泽说：“你看，这节课换音乐老师了！”他赶忙抬起头，发现张老师站在门口说：“音乐老师今天下午有事，这节音乐课你们自己写作业或看书。违犯纪律的同学奖励一篇最长的课文。”张老师说话可真是太幽默了，把我们同学都逗得哈哈大笑。
过了一会儿，张老师让我们班的臧家祥到讲台上看纪律，又让姜云泽把臧家祥点到的名字写到一张纸上，说：“臧家祥一会儿点到谁的名字，谁就把第二课抄一遍，并让姜云泽把你们的名字记到一张纸上，下周一升国旗之前交给我。”
我等张老师说完话，便拿出《三国演义》津津有味的看起来。过了好一会儿，臧家祥点了第一个人，就是我的好朋友。张老师转过头来对她说：“把语文书拿出来抄第二课。”她很不服气的拿出语文书，开始抄第二课。又过了好一会儿，臧家祥又点了一个男生的名字。张老师说：“你也一样，开始工作吧。”
下课了，同学们兴奋的跑出教室。我想，张老师真好啊！因为，我觉得这种课非常有意义，我们不仅能做自己想做的事，放松一下思维，还可以自觉培养遵守纪律的好习惯，真是一举两得。所以，我还想让张老师多给我们上几节这样的课。

It’s reported that there were thousands of tons of rubbish left after the flag-raising ceremony on Oct. 1st. The uncivilized tourists left their rubbish wherever they go, polluting the local environment. Another problem is the traffic jam caused by so many tourists.
Tourist can promote the economic development of the local areas, but the pollution caused by those uncivilized tourists has brought severe problems. 回想起我第一次看家时的情景，真是让人哭笑不得，那是5、6年前的一个晚上，那是我大概还是六七岁的小屁孩儿。有一天晚上，爸爸要加班，妈妈还要应酬，让我一个人看家。爸妈走后，我把门反锁住，坐在沙发上玩平板，可是今天天气好奇怪，有一丝诡异，天黑得好像是块大黑布，把大地遮得严严实实。风呼呼的刮着，不时发出几声奇怪的声音，很像坏人的笑声。此时，外面下起了淅淅沥沥的小雨滴在门窗怎么听都像是坏人在敲门，想把我抓走一样，忽然砰的一声我，我往阳台上一看，一个黑色的`身影站在阳台上，我当时正迷西游记中的齐天大圣，还让妈妈在街上买了个金箍棒，我模仿孙悟空打妖怪的样子，拿起金箍棒大喊，妖怪吃俺老孙一棒，冲过去正要打，才发现这是妈妈前几天挂在阳台绳子上的腊肉，就在这时，门铃突然响起来，我感觉爸爸妈妈应该不会现在回来，于是赶紧跑到旁边的衣架上，把爸爸骑摩托时戴的头盔戴在头上，然后跑进厨房，左手拿个盛饭用的大勺子，右手拿了个特大号的塑料袋和两段粗绳，全副武装，我的计划是这样，先开门，如果是坏人，就拿勺子砸她的脑袋，如果是爸爸就开门，万事俱备，只欠东风，我打开门，刚要按计划敲她的脑袋，一段熟悉的声音响起来，你这是干什么呢？我都在门外等了半天了哦，原来是爸爸，。
我的第一次看家大作战到这里就结束了，后来每当回想起它，我就禁不住的咯咯的笑……

校园里原本沸沸扬扬所有声音在上课铃打响后立即变得鸦雀无声。而我们班还仍然沉浸下课的喜悦当中。一声“老师来啦”打响了所有人的警钟。班里忽然安静了许多，所有的人都低下头写起了各自的作业，教室里顿时只能听见笔尖写字的“沙沙”声，过了一分钟，老师没有来，王智诚探头一看，大声喊道：“那个白痴说的，老师都没来。”经过排查，原来是孙晨旭呀，吓我了。这下班级又回到了原来的模样。
我环顾四周，只见范浩然（“江湖”人称小范），他一声不吭的写着作业，谁知还不到半分钟，他就掉过头去跟陈丹讲话了，哇，真是神速呀！我似乎听见了他们的谈论声：“陈丹你说韩老师是不是不来了呀？”陈丹说：“怎么可能呢，也许是老师在忙吧，一会儿就应该来啦。”
我又换了一个方向，突然看见了赵越（“江湖”人称造孽），他有时在学海豚音，真是令人毛骨悚然，他有时还在唱“了都要爱”真是人家唱歌要钱，他唱歌要命呀！”一个字“惨”。不知道他的音乐是在哪学的，我想全班的人都不喜欢听他唱歌吧。
再转一点就是孙晨旭，他可是我们班的调皮蛋，原来他正在跟赵越一起哼歌呀。呵呵，真是奇葩！他总是喜欢在角落里大喊“老师来啦，老师来啦。”过了一会儿，老师没来，他捧腹大笑，说：“哈哈，你们都被我骗了。”大家怒气冲冲的看着他。
这是一声“老师来啦”打破了班级体里的喜悦。我看了看原来是坐在窗口的徐民叫的。教室里立刻变得安静起来。这时老师进来了，我们就开始上课。
多彩的校园里有欢乐多彩的我们，而同学之间更加重要的当然就是友谊啦！让我们珍惜友谊，友谊万岁！
