白天听不到工厂机器的声音，到处像气沉沉的废墟。到了夜晚更可怕，到处黑乎乎一片，没有了音乐，没有了电视，更看不到一些高档的家用电器了。大家只有生活在煤油灯的日子里，所以电对于我们来说用处可大了。电给我们带来很多好处，但是如果不安全用电，就会造成很大的伤害，甚至危及生命财产。比如说家庭用电都是220伏以上的电压，开关、插座这些每天都要接触的。如果不懂得用电的知识，手上有水或赤脚摸电这些动作都会使人触电。
因为水是导电体，当人赤脚时站在地上，电就会从人体通过，导致人被电击中，轻者感到全身麻痹，严重者当场亡。户外的高压电线更可怕，都是一些几万伏甚至几十万伏的电压。所以我们更应该要懂得电的安全知识，懂得如何去避免事故的发生！不能站在高压线下玩耍，如有电线掉落在地，也不能用手去摸电线，特别是下雨天，因为下雨天的闪电与日用电是相接的，当人被淋湿身的时候，整个人就是一个导电体，千万不能在高压电线下避雨，不然很容易引电上身。

三：在使用微波炉时，应根据烹调食物的类别和数量选择微波炉的火力，冷藏食物宜事先解冻后再进行烹调。
四：减少开冰箱的次数，避蹜短开关的时间，可降低冰箱耗电量；应待食物冷却降温后再放入冰箱，以避免浪费冷能。
五；少用空调，炎热的夏天，许多人都在使用空调，这是造成电力紧张的主要因素。
