那洁白如玉，晶莹透剔的一条条带子，放上绿生生的黄瓜丝，倒上香喷喷的芝麻酱，泼上红灿灿的辣椒油，捏上几块面筋加上黄滋滋的姜水，不管在什么时候吃上一口，都简直是人间美味。
每次上街都忍不住吃一碗凉皮，特别是在骄阳似火的夏天，吃上一碗凉皮简直无与伦比。走到街上随处可见卖凉皮的，凉皮摊位一般不算大，几张桌子加几张椅子外加一个简单的灶炉。摊主热情的请你就坐，麻利的往碗里放一点绿豆芽和黄瓜丝，再把一片凉皮切成段放进去，最后加上姜水、香醋和辣椒油。等不了几分钟凉皮就端上来了。
家乡的凉皮，吃着美、闻着香，既有凉的，还有热的。凉皮老少皆宜，如果你尝过了一定忘不了，如果你还没吃过一定去品尝一下，一定会让你流连忘返。

我最喜欢的食物就是薯片。可是，妈妈说它是垃圾食品，小孩子吃了会不健康。其实不健康的是里面的添加剂。今天，我就为大家介绍一种健康薯片。
据说，薯片发源于美国。从前，有个人在一家餐馆里点了一份烤土豆，等厨师端上来时，顾客发现这土豆一点儿都不好吃，建议将土豆片切薄一点，多烤一会儿。第二次的土豆片虽然够薄，但却差了点脆脆的口感。他又建议厨师再将土豆片在火上烤一下，结果在这个挑剔的顾客建议下，流行全世界的香脆薯片就这样被发明了。
所谓健康薯片就是自己做的薯片。首先，在烤盘上铺一层薄金纸，两百度预热。再把土豆皮削掉，切成薄片，平铺在薄金纸上。接着刷上油放进烤箱里烤。等到土豆片的外表变成金黄色时，就可以取出来了。把香喷喷的薯片装盘，倒一点自己喜欢的酱，比如牛油果酱，番茄酱，芝士酱等。即使只是加一点点盐和胡椒，薯片也会非常美味！
健康薯片是没有膨松剂和调味剂的。越是让我们觉得口感好，其实越是不健康。同时，烤的薯片比炸的薯片相对健康。
墨西哥玉米片是薯片的近亲，只是主料从土豆变成了玉米。墨西哥玉米片更健康是因为它是火烤的不是油炸的，也没有什么添加剂。牛油果酱、奶酪酱和酸甜的自制番茄酱都是很健康的蘸料。
所以，凡事不能只看表面，要勇敢地去探索。觉得薯片是垃圾食品的家长可以试着在家里自己做健康薯片给孩子吃，或者去墨西哥餐馆点一份墨西哥玉米片。这样，孩子既可以吃到垂涎已久的薯片，又不会影响健康，真是两全其美啊！

However, I have been thinking about a few things I want you to know.
I want you to know that I am happy — right now — as a single, 26-year-old "millennial" who lives in a small apartment with a roommate and eats Chipotle for dinner more times than I care to admit. I love my job, I love my crazy friends and family, and I love spending quality time alone. I want you to know that my life has purpose apart from and before you. When we do meet one day, I want you to understand that I do not expect you to complete me, or to be my God. That's way too much pressure for anyone to bear. I am already complete.
I want you to know that I am not a trophy. Apparently, a lot of guys think this is a compliment. However, I want you to know that I have no desire to be seen as a trophy — a symbol of your own perceived success. I was not raised just to sit and look pretty on anybody's shelf.
