十岁那年，我在家乡陪奶奶住了一个多月，虽说我年纪尚小，但这却是我第一次感受到乡间的生活，感受到乡间的淳朴、自然。那是在夏天的时候，也正是家乡最美的时候，山上的树林郁郁葱葱，在泥土的气息里浸泡着，一条平静的小河依偎在山脚，河边总有着几个朴实的老妇，捧着待洗的衣服，缓缓地弯下身子，用木盆舀一盆河水，将衣服一遍又一遍的浸泡着，也许这便是最惬意的乡间图画了。
中午时分，是太阳最热的时候，在家里也总能听到河边不断传来的嬉戏声，我也总会匆匆吃过午饭，跑到河边，一头扎进河里，任由清凉的流水，洗去一身的暑意，这就是我在家乡最好的消遣了。奶奶家的房子靠近河边，只要我下水玩耍，她总是搬出一张小板凳，坐在房子的前坪上，远远地看着我，虽说她文化不高，不懂得表达自己，也不擅于和我交流，但每次只要我从河边探出脑袋，看到她专注于我的眼神，我也就心满意足了。
