在我们中国的家庭中，每个家长都很宠爱自己的孩子，孩子真是生在蜜罐里，长在蜜罐里。爱孩子是父母的天性，然而对孩子爱过了头，陷入了溺爱，便是害了孩子，这是父母的失职。长辈们总是很心疼孙子会受苦，总是不肯让孩子学会在地上走，摔跟头。孙子孙女都被宠坏了，他们衣来伸手，饭来张口。孩子完全不会做家务，孩子完全不做任何事。你瞧，就连学校的登山比赛，也有父母跟着，租来一个轿子抬着孩子上山，生怕孩子有什么闪失，处处苛护。这样下去，孩子怎么才能长大呀!到孩子成年之后，就很容易滑向犯罪的边缘。
然而并不是每一个家长都象前面的家长那样，他们却懂得怎么来教育孩子，让孩子从小养成自己动手的习惯，孩子跌倒了，不去扶，让他们自己站起来，面对困难自己动脑解决。这就培养了他们的判断力与分析能力及应变能力。即使父母不在身边，他们也会做得更好、一步一步地走向成功，成为社会的栋梁之才。
望子成龙，望女成凤是许多家庭父母的愿望。但是要想实现这些愿望，就不能过分的溺爱，年青的家长们，尊敬的长辈们，如果您想把你的孩子培养成一个有用的人才，一个身体健康、心灵美好的人，那请听我一句忠告吧：请停止你对孩子的溺爱!

我出生在一个爸爸、妈妈都爱我的家庭，我又是独生子女，但是爸爸、妈妈对待我像是对待一个非独生子女一样。他们从小就磨炼我的意志，比如小时候与别人打架，他们都是指导着我去怎样解决，以后慢慢使我自己解决，便使我有着为人处世的能力。相比别人的孩子(在溺爱成长下的孩子，我比他们要强得多。再如，从小父母就教我洗衣服，以后我的衣服便是我自己洗，长大后父母教我如何能修理一些小东西，现在身边的一些小东西有了毛病，修好根本不在话下。对于那些在溺爱中长大的孩子，他们就可能解决不了上述问题。还是那句话，过分的关爱就等于溺爱，而溺爱不等于爱。
在现代社会中，需要的是人才，而人才不是仅限于学习方面，更重要的是能力，而能力都是在生活中练出来的，慢慢积累下来的，非一日之功，而这个的必要条件就是大人们不能对孩子溺爱，因为溺爱会使孩子的各种能力下降。
最后，我要说的是“过分的关爱就是溺爱，而溺爱不等于爱”，所以请大人们不要溺爱自己的孩子。
