其实，那一场比赛我原本想放弃。运动会前夕，当妈妈问我今年报什么项目时，我先是低头不语，再是闷闷不乐地回答她：“妈妈，我今年不想参加了。你不知道，压力太大，挫折太多。”回想前几年的运动会，失意连连啊！二年级那年，我第一次参加跳远比赛，跳出了比三年级第一名还好的成绩，可是我只能屈居第二，因为在我前面有个体育天才——小丁。之后的两年里，她就像一个不倒翁一样，永远在我前面，永远占着上风，永远无法超越。三届运动会，我没有摸过金牌，自始至终与金牌无缘，我的自信、我对运动的热情就这样一点点被磨灭了。我真的不想再参加运动会了。
后来，在妈妈、老师的鼓励和同学的鼓舞下，我还是无可奈何地报了名。比赛那天，当学校的广播里喊着“请参加五年级女子跳远比赛的同学到跳远场地报到”时，我的心一下子“噗通、噗通”直跳，紧张极了。
比赛正式开始了，看到别的同学都跳得不错时，我更紧张了。终于轮到我了，我的手心已经出汗了。我飞快地跑了过去，踩板成功，2.86米，心稍稍宽了点。可是之后的小丁跳了3米，我有点想放弃。在想拼搏和又想放弃的.内心挣扎中，预赛很快结束了。我们忐忑不安地听着裁判员宣布预赛名次，当她报到“172号，王可扉”时，我有些小激动。在那一刻，我突然有点清醒过来，心想：我为什么要紧张害怕呢？我只要奋力地去跳好就行了。
决赛果然比预赛精彩多了，整个过程一波三折，简直是惊心动魄，几乎每一跳都在改变名次。而那些都与我无关。每次一跳完，我总是马上跑到队伍后面，不去听别人的成绩。最后一跳开始了，我觉得自己的状态好极了，咬紧牙关，快速助跑，用力一蹬，纵身一跃……3.15米，我成功啦！那一刻，我才知道自己从第5名一下子跃到了第2名！
而我的对手那天不知怎么了，整场比赛一直表现平平，全无往年自信的表情和漂亮的动作，虽然最后她也奋起直追，可终究还是以1厘米之差败给了我。那一刻，我有点不敢相信自己，真的战胜了一直以来自认为无法超越的对手了吗？妈妈斩钉截铁地告诉我：“没错，你表现得太棒了！你战胜她了，也战胜了自己。”
那一场比赛已经过去快两个月了，拼搏、快乐、战胜对手、战胜自己，在那场比赛中，我享受到了体育运动无穷的魅力。那一场比赛，刻骨铭心。
