鼎湖湾风景区，属国家2A级旅游区（点），位于灵宝市西阎乡文东村北 600米处，北濒黄河，东西长约3600米，南北宽约1800米，总面积约1万亩。原为大面积荷塘， 1960年前后，因三门峡大坝拦洪致使荷塘被毁。在此后的十多年间，地下泉涌，土肥水丰，草木丛生，芦兰疯长，蛙鸣鱼跃，鸟语花香，形成了鱼网环绕、苇路纵横、荷香婷婷、蒹葭苍苍的梦中绿园。
