坚持的好处多着呢!例如坚持每天用牙线，可以比不用牙线的人长寿6年，同样，坚持每星期慢跑至少1小时的人，也可以延长6年寿命。
坚持每天做适量跳跃运动的女性，一年后，骨质密度就可以大大改善，延缓骨骼老化之速度(跳跃时必须前脚掌着地，不应以后脚跟着地。而坚持至少4年低脂饮食的女性，患上卵巢癌的概率会大幅度降低。
加拿大有一项研究指出，坚持每天吃营养早餐的中小学生，在阅读能力和数学、科学的成绩，都比没习惯吃早餐的同学好，而且他们顺利毕业的比率都高出17%。澳洲另一项研究则发现，父母若坚持对子女“唠唠叨叨”，督促他们做功课和温习，子女的成绩就会有明显进步。
《人生不是不美好，只是你不够坚持》还引述《圣经》一句箴言：“你若在患难之日胆怯，你的力量就要变得微不足道。”有些事情，值得坚持。

从放假的第一天，我就开始上着妈妈给我报的“恶魔补习班”。天天都要上课，早上要很早去，晚上又很晚才能回来。刚开始上几天，我一直吃不消，心想：天天都这么累，还要放假干什么呀！要不然我不上了吧。可是，上课虽然累点儿，可还是对我有帮助的。我坚定地对自己说：“不要怕，咬咬牙，坚持过去，不就是一个月嘛。”随后半个多月，我把上课当做一种乐趣。上课认真听讲，回家来除了写暑假作业，我还提前预习，这样，七月份很快被我用掉了。我自己认为：这个七月份很有意义，我过的很充实、快乐。如果我当初放弃了，我也许会碌碌无为一个月，一个月的美好时光就会被白白丢弃。我很庆幸当初自己选择了“坚持”这条阳光大道，这一个月，是坚持让我硕果累累；是坚持让我满载而归。
因为我七月份表现的很好，作业也完成了，所以妈妈奖励我去云台山旅游。在山中要走很多的路，虽然我感到很疲惫，但我还是坚持了。是坚持让我看到了如画美丽的风景。
我会坚持做完所有我应该做的事情，而不是三天打鱼，两天晒网，要善始善终，才会取得成功。
