我们大家在学英语的同时。好像忘记了我们的母语。我们这中华民族五千年的悠久历史，老祖宗传下来的文化，魅力好像还抵不过一个“洋鬼子”说的“鬼话”是的，英语的确是国际通用语言。可是这就是我们要冷落我们伟大的母语的'原因吗？这原因是在不值一提。中文，是世界上能最清楚表达事物的语言，只改变语调，就能变换语义。中国的语言文字叫“汉字”，而英美的语言文字叫“单词”。
这就明显能体现出汉语的意思准确、精练。我本人是回族，但我并不讨厌“汉”语、“汉”话。相反，我却十分崇敬华夏文化，因为我是中国人。
但看现在世态，我们好像不该在打着中华民族的旗子，说我们是龙的传人了。外语肆意横行，把我们老祖宗留给我们的东西，推进了印度洋深处，实在可怕。我最后竭力大喊一句：“我们是中国人！！！”

淳于髡看着这100两黄金和10辆车马，忽然大笑不止，把头上的帽缨都笑断了。
齐威王被笑得摸头不知脑，问淳于髡说：“你这样狂笑，是为什么呢?是不是觉得礼物太薄了呢?”
淳于髡忍住笑，回答说：“我怎么敢呢!”
齐威王又问：“那你为什么如此大笑不止呢?”
淳于髡回答说：“我想起了今天早上看到的一件事，觉得非常好笑。”
齐威王问：“什么事?”
淳于髡说：“今天一早，我在来上朝的路上，看到一个农夫正跪在路旁祭田。他面前焚着3根香，摆着一小盅酒;他右手举起一只小猪爪，左手打着揖，祈求说：‘土地爷啊，请您保佑我好运，让我肥猪满圈，五谷满仓，金银满箱，长命百岁，儿孙满堂，还要保佑我的儿孙个个富裕无比。’我见他祭品寒酸微薄，奢望却比天还高，不由得越想越好笑。”
齐威王听了，顿时恍然大悟，感到很是惭愧。于是，他赶紧命人备好黄金1000镒(yi，白壁10对，车马100乘，交给淳于髡前往赵国。
淳于髡带上这些东西，连夜奔赴赵国向赵王求援。
赵王接到礼物，迅速派出精兵10万，战车千辆，增援齐国。楚国得知赵国出兵的消息，星夜撤兵回国，齐国因此避免了一次战争的'损失。
本来，齐威王企图以一点微不足道的礼物去换取赵国兵马救援，这跟那个吝啬农夫的行为没有什么两样。若不是淳于髡的智慧，齐国遭到的损失就远不是那些礼物的价值了。所以一个人如果对别人不大方，却希望别人对自己十分慷慨，这其实只是一厢情愿。

有一位刚刚跟随孔子不久的新学生，论学识、才干远不如子贡。当他看到子贡与农夫僵持不下的情景时，便对孔子说：“老师，请让我去试试看。”
于是他走到农夫面前，笑着对农夫说：“你并不是在遥远的东海种田，我们也不是在遥远的西海耕地，我们彼此靠得很近，相隔不远，我的马怎么可能不吃你的庄稼呢?再说了，说不定哪天你的牛也会吃掉我的庄稼哩，你说是不是?我们该彼此谅解才是。”
农夫听了这番话，觉得很在理，责怪的意思也消释了，于是将马还给了孔子。旁边几个农夫也互相议论说：“像这样说话才算有口才，哪像刚才那个人，说话不中听。”
看起来，说话必须看对象、看场合，否则，你再能言善辩，别人不买你的账也是白搭。
