One possible version：
The summer holiday is coming. Our class have had a discussion about what to do during the holiday. Some are in favor of staying at home. They think it’s both convenient and comfortable. What’s more, they can save money for other purposes. But they will lose the chance of getting to know the outside world.
However, others prefer to go out for traveling since it can increase their knowledge and broaden their horizons. But they will spend more money and meet some difficulties while traveling.
In my opinion, it would be much better to stay at home, for I can do what I like, such as reading books, watching TV, and helping my parents with the housework.

开学啦！又来到了新的一学期，开学第一课专题片也随着学生们的开学而播出，开学第一课是所有中小学生每年必看的一期节目，每年的主题都各不相同，节目会依据当年的时下环境，会确立一个当期的主题。课堂上，大家都整整齐齐的坐在自己座位上观看着大屏幕，开学第一课专题片对于我们青少年有着很好的教育意义，屏幕上的一段段英雄先进事迹，一个个爱国志士，一句句激奋人心的话语时时在我们眼前浮现，何为爱国？爱国就是“天下兴亡匹夫有责”，爱国不是一定要轰轰烈烈，但你一定要胸怀祖国，一切以祖国的利益为重，我们都是炎黄的子孙，我们的身上都流淌着中华民族千年的脉，我们每个中国人都有责任和义务去爱我们的国家，一个热爱自己祖国的人，才能永远受到别人的尊敬和爱戴。
爱国首先要了解民族的历史文化，我们每一个爱国者都应该认真学习祖国的历史，深入了解祖国优良的历史文化传统，历史文化是民族凝聚力的重要基础。如今，我们身处于一个和平的年代，爱国不仅仅是为国捐躯，作为一名学生的我们，在身边的一些小事中，只要怀着一颗热爱祖国的心，同样可以维护祖国的尊严，为祖国做力所能及的事情。我们作为跨世纪的一代，青少年是祖国未来的花朵，唯有少年不断的成长起来，才能帮助祖国不断的发展壮大，作为新时代的学生，我们应该珍惜我们所拥有的一切，用我们丰富的理论知识、用我们优良的道德品质、用我们的实际行动来回馈社会，建设好我们的祖国。
如今的幸福安稳生活都是中国共产党英雄们用无私奉献，英勇牺牲换来的，观看屏幕上的轰轰烈烈壮举，让我们再一次从他们的身上感到了流淌着的爱国热，每一次仰望飘扬的五星红旗，每一次唱起庄严肃穆的国歌，我都因为我是中国人而感到骄傲，爱国的豪情是我们胸腔里激荡的热，爱国是一种态度，同时也是一种理性，暴力不是我们爱国的通行证，爱国是要让自己的国家变得更好，梁启超有一名话说得好，“少年强则中国强，少年进步则中国进步”，作为新一代的青年，在跨入新世纪的中国里，我们更应该懂得心存敬意、懂得担当。

This is my first week in ** Senior Middle School.Everything here is new for me.Our school is an old school but it`s very beautiful.I have 50 new classmates in my class.They`re all very excellent, I think, and I felt a little sad.Because I`m too common.But come to think of it,it`s a very good thing.I believe I can also be very excellent if I study with such excellent classmates.I didn`t know why Ms *** chose me to be the committee of study.But I know it`s a good chance for me to raise my ability.All I can do is do my best in the future.I am sure that Ms *** and my classmates can help me when I do something wrong.
