古往今来，善于用人的例子不胜枚举。曹操曾不顾关羽为敌邦之将而施以厚恩。对于谋士们的反对，曹操坦言：“虎勇之将，仁义之将，关云长有大用矣。”华容道解围证明了这一点。信陵君曾不顾侯公身份低微而屈身与其交游并以礼相待，他的理由很简单——“侯公，有用。”果然，不久之后的“面北自刎向我主”印证了这一切。
