Dear Sir,
I was very interested in your advertisement in todays edition of The Evening Post and I should like to apply to be a member of the Amazon Expedition team.
I am twenty-three years old and have an honors degree in Botany from Bath University. Since leaving university I have been working in a research laboratory but my contract comes to an end in six weeks. I would particularly like to join the expedition for the opportunity it would give me to study the plant life of the area.
I enjoy several outdoor activities including rowing and rock climbing and I consider myself to be both fit and healthy enough to undertake such an expedition.
If you would like me to attend an interview, I would be able to come at any time convenient to you, (J1 my employers have agreed to give me time off for the purpose.

是写信人对收信人的称呼用语。位置在信内地址下方一、二行的地方，从该行的顶格写起，在称呼后面一般用逗号（英国式），也可以用冒号（美国式）。
（1）写给亲人、亲戚和关系密切的朋友时，用Dear或My dear再加上表示亲属关系的称呼或直称其名（这里指名字，不是姓氏）。例如：My dear father，Dear Tom等。
（2）写给公务上的信函用Dear Madam，Dear Sir或Gentleman（Gentlemen）。注意：Dear纯属公务上往来的客气形式。Gentlemen总是以复数形式出现，前不加Dear，是Dear Sir的复数形式。
（3）写给收信人的信，也可用头衔、职位、职称、学位等再加姓氏或姓氏和名字。例如：Dear Prof. Tim Scales, Dear Dr.John Smith。

记得有位作家曾经说过：“书是知识的源泉。”是啊，一本好书，会使我们受益匪浅。最近，我读了《十万个为什么》，就使我从中学到不少知识。
就说养花吧，我的爸爸非常爱养花，家里有好几盆花，爸爸十分爱护它们，常常在早上或中午提一桶水来为它们“解渴”。
一天中午，夭气十分炎热。盆里的花已有点儿干瘪了的，都耷拉着“脑袋”，盆里的土也干得咧开了嘴。一见此状，我连忙到水管边接了一桶水，准备给花浇水。正在这时，爸爸看见了，连忙说：“快别浇水，现在不能浇。”我问：“为什么？花都快枯了。”爸爸说：“没关系，不会的。”我感到很奇怪，再问爸爸：“为什么？”可爸爸也讲不出个道理来。这时，我想到了《十万个为什么》这本书，打开书后，我仔细翻看，终于寻到了答案：原来，中午气温比较高，这时植物根吸收水和叶面蒸发基本相同。如果用冷水浇，土壤温度降低，从而使植物生理失水，甚至亡，所以中午是不能浇水的。看到这里，我明白了中午不能给花浇水的道理，真是不看不知道，一看吓一跳。
还有一次，我到老家去玩儿，看见那里的狗一见主人就使劲儿摇尾巴，，这是什么意思呢？我去问表哥，表哥说：“它可能是尾巴痒吧！”可我不相信，它为什么偏偏都是在见到主人时才痒呢？这时，我又想起了《十万个为什么》，里面说狗是见到主人时很兴奋，但不能说出来，所以就用摇尾巴来表达自己的高兴。我看了以后跑到表哥那里去，纠正了他的错误。表哥听了以后，说：“我以后也要像你一样多读书。”我听了以后，心里真是乐滋滋的。
《十万个为什么》的确是我的良师益友，它帮我解决了生活当中遇到的难题。我以后会多看一些书，相信会有更大的收获。

I have been good at school. I often think of you when I go to bed because we always go for a walk before go to bed at home. So I miss you everyday.

One of the things is about foreign teachers daughter. Her names Skyler. She lives in Canada. She comes to our class to learn Chinese and English with me in my class.
This afternoon, when it was art and craft class, our class were cleaning the gymnasium. And she did it with us too. So I usually talk to her when she doesn’t know what to do? But when the class is over, I always havent got enough time to talk to her. And I usually cant find her. So we dont have time to introduce to each other. But it is the first time that I have a foreign student. So Im very happy!
Mum, you often tell me, "If you are happy, Ill be happy, too."So you have to be happy, because Im happy! I like you when you are happy!
