东街夜市上，各种叫卖的声音都出来了，有卖饰物的，有卖服装的，有卖零食的，只要你想要的，在这里准能找着。这里的商品物美价廉，所以绍兴人都喜欢在茶余饭后来这里逛逛。这短短的一条街呀，热闹非凡，各色各样的人都喜欢来这里，感受绍兴在夜间最热闹的气氛。或许，这条街在白天不能张显什么，但一到晚上，它便充满了活力，它的热闹非凡几乎带动了整个绍兴。
若说绍兴夜市是绍兴晚上最耀眼的珍珠，在里面可以买到许多东西，那环城河的\'夜景将是最漂亮的。每到晚上，这河两岸灯火阑珊，似乎要与天上的星星比比美。灿烂的霓虹灯，将环城河打扮得更加花枝招展，惹人注目。快看!有几个顽皮的孩子正在环城河里游泳，他们赤裸着身体，就如鱼一般灵活地在嬉戏。他们那纯真的笑声，更让环城河显得多姿多彩。两岸的树在婆娑起舞，月光在树影间嬉戏。
城市广场上，聚集了许多的人，这里是饭后散步的最好地方。老人们手挽着手，一起散步在城市广场上，欣赏着落日余晖，日月交替的美妙景象。听!这是对面茶楼飘出的悠扬琴声;看!树下的石凳上面，有两个老人在下棋，他们沉着而有悠闲，正在思考着下一步棋该怎样下;瞧!鱼池边三三两两地站着几户人家，他们都牵着孩子，一起津津有味地欣赏水中的鱼儿。更有人拿着鸡毛纱扇，边走边谈，讲述着这一天当中发生的有趣故事。
夜渐渐地深了，夜市上的小贩都拉车回家了，他们明天再来。环城河上嬉戏的孩子也明显少了许多，他们多半是被父母拉回家去休息了。城市广场上的人群也散了，他们还要为明天上午工作而恢复体力。热闹繁华的绍兴一下子安静了许多。
仔细聆听，你会听见草丛里虫子在鸣叫。水里不时有鱼儿跳出水面的轻微声。抬头向月亮望去，她不知何时已爬上了高空，皎洁的月光如倾泄的清流，注满大地。热闹繁华的绍兴渐渐地进入了她的梦想。

I remember when I caught a fever at midnight last year, my mum took me to the hospital as fast as she could. When we got home after my injection, it was about 5 o’clock in the early morning.
