不知不觉，她走到家门口。爬上那又窄又暗的楼梯，她看到十 年来居住的阴冷破旧的小阁楼。就是在这里，她和丈夫相互搀扶，相互 支撑，走过『人生中最艰苦的十年;也就是在这里，她和丈夫因为靠自 己的力滅还清债务，而兴奋得相互柷贺。也许，十年前，玛蒂尔德还 因为嫁给…个不愤风情的小职员而烦恼;但在这十年的相互鼓励、共同 奋斗的日子里，他(门却到彼此的关心和爱。也许,十年前，她还 因为家具的破旧，衣料的粗糙感到沮丧，生活在极度的空虚和无聊中; 低现在，她已学会队最普通的生活中感受幸福，为一切值得快乐的事而 欢笑。十年，旣把岁月的痕迹印在玛蒂尔德的脸上，也把生活的意义 刻在广她的心里。十年，足以使一个脆弱的人变得坚强起来! 玛蒂尔德坚定而又勇敢地推开门……

??写《穷人》结尾“你瞧，他们已经在这里啦！”桑娜拉开帐子。
渔夫脸上露出了欣慰的表情，接着问：“你怎么不早点告诉我你已经把约翰和里奥抱回来了呢？”“我怕你不能接受他们。”“怎么会不接受呢？我们虽然穷，但是西蒙了，他的两个孩子还小。难道就让他们自己等吗？这种情况，我怎么会见不救？”‥‥‥就这样，两人长谈了一晚。
第二天，渔夫照常出海打鱼。桑娜把丈夫送到小船上，直到自己看不到小船的时候，桑娜才回到家里。渔夫不在家，桑娜把家里打理的井井有条，把地板擦的干干净净。
收拾完之后，桑娜开始准备七个孩子的早餐。她走向橱柜，里面什么也没有。就只剩下一块发霉的面包和一点啃得干干净净的鱼骨头。桑娜的.五个孩子醒了，看见西蒙阿姨家的两个孩子在自己家的床上睡觉，便问桑娜：“妈妈，约翰和里奥怎么在我们家睡觉呢？”“孩子们，西蒙阿姨了，留下约翰和里奥。所以，我和你们的父亲把他们收养了。两个弟弟还小，你们什么事都要让着他们。而且，千万不能告诉他们自己的真实身份，听到没有。”“嗯，妈妈，我们知道了。”五个孩子齐声说。“真是我听话的好孩子。”桑娜高兴地说。“妈妈，那我们今天早上吃什么呢？”“孩子，家里的粮食没有多少了。所以，你们五个人早上只能分一块和面包了，行吗？”“可以的，妈妈，那约翰和里奥早上吃什么呢？他们这么小，连牙齿都没有长齐。可是，我们家并没有牛奶呀。”桑拿沉默不语。
这时，约翰和里奥虽然不能吃面包，但是他们可以喝汤。桑娜急忙地走向橱柜，拿出了那被啃得干干净净的鱼骨头，把它熬成了汤。盛在碗里给约翰和里奥喝，这两个孩子才安静下来。吃完早餐的孩子们马上进入了甜蜜的梦乡。桑娜也开始在火炉旁补那张已经被撕得破烂的旧渔网‥‥‥
可是，事情还没做完，另一件麻烦事又来了。
在桑拿还在不那张破渔网的时候，睡得正的约翰突然大哭起来。桑娜掀开帐子，把约翰从床上抱起来，然后摸摸他的额头。呀！怎么那么烫啊？不行，孩子发烧了得马上送往医院，可海边没有医院，只有小镇上才有医院。但桑娜刚要抱着约翰去医院时，想到：“如果我走了，孩子们和里奥该怎么办呢？”于是桑娜对五个孩子说：“孩子们，约翰生病了，妈妈要带他去镇上的医院。。你们要在家好好地照顾里奥，如果他饿了，就喂他剩下的鱼汤。妈妈会尽量早点回来的，在家里要听话。”“妈妈，我会照顾好弟弟的，你就放心的去吧！”桑娜听了孩子的话，就马上背着约翰向小镇奔去‥‥‥
家离医院太远了，就是跑，也要很久才能到达。不巧，路上下起了大雨，桑娜加快了步伐。雨越下越大，桑娜把外套脱了让它为正在发烧的约翰遮雨。到了医院，桑娜已经筋疲力尽‥‥‥
医生从病房走了出来，对桑娜说：“夫人，你的孩子烧得非常厉害，不过你不用担心，我们已经给他进行了治疗，他的病应该过一两天就会好的。”“谢谢，医生。”“夫人，那你先去把医药费先交了吧。”“医生，那‥‥‥那应该交多少钱啊？”“13卢布。”13卢布对桑娜一家简直就是太多了，那可是桑娜一家四个月的生活费。“什么？13卢布？医生，我们家不太富裕，能便宜一点吗？”“不好意思，夫人，我无能为力。”说完，医生就走了。桑娜想：“13卢布如果用了，那么这些孩子们吃什么呢？没事，我们会熬过去的，上帝会保佑我们的，孩子要紧！”桑娜摸摸自己的包，里面什么也没有。桑娜才想起自己走得太急都忘记拿钱了。她又急忙地奔回了家，路上的雨还下着，把桑娜的全身都淋湿了。桑娜回到家，渔夫也回来了，问桑娜：“你刚才去了哪里？怎么淋成这样？约翰呢？”桑娜一边喘气一边说：“约翰发烧了，我刚才送他去了镇上的医院。”“那要多少钱？”“13卢布”“13卢布，别管那么多了，孩子最重要。我们可以熬过去的。”渔夫走进房子，拿出了一个小木箱，从里面拿出了那又旧又皱的13卢布。然后对桑娜说：“我去医院付药费，你在家好好休息，把衣服也换了。”
渔夫服了药费。过了两天之后，渔夫把约翰从医院抱了回来。
他们的日子越来越难熬了‥‥‥

“唉！我可怜的玛缔尔德！可是我的那一挂是假的，至多值五百法郎！……”
“玛缔尔德，玛缔尔德，你说话啊，你怎么了！……”
“哦，我的朋友，玛缔尔德，可怜的人啊！……”
此时的玛缔尔德仿佛别一块巨大的石头压倒了，压的她喘不过气，压的她变傻了……
又过了许久，玛缔尔德才说了一句话，慢慢地轻声说了句：“恩，过去了，都过去了……”她的眼睛茫然的望着远处，静静地走了，空旷的极乐公园里，玛缔尔德一个人默默的走着，朝着她家的方向，也许此时的她已不在乎了一切，真的，一切都过去了……
她回到家，她的丈夫关切的问到：“外面的人多吗？公园……”玛缔尔德似乎明白了什么：“恩，很好，再好不过了！”她没有把刚才的事情告诉她的丈夫，也许告诉了也没有任何意义，她做的也对。
就这样，一年又一年的过着平淡的生活，没有太多的负担，养育了一对儿女，也算是幸福的一家吧！

the summer vacation had come round again. i was happy that i could forget about school at least for a while. lest i fool around all through this summer vacation, i made a plan as to how to spend it. first, i thought i should go over all those things my teachers taught in the previous term so that i could have a better understanding of them.
then i thought i should take up some forms of exercise, such as walking, running and rowing, to keep me physically strong. it stood to reason that with such a good plan i should make the best of my vacation time. i did, because i lived up to what i had planned.
