有时候 会综合运用上述三种顺序。如《苏州园林》先从整体到局部，由苏州园林“无论站在哪个点上，眼前总是一幅完美的图画”这个总的特征，到“亭台轩榭的布局” “假山池沼的配合”“花草树木的映衬”“近景远景的层次”这四个特征;由这一段的概括说明到以下各段的具体说明。在介绍“四个讲究”中，又是按从主要到次 要的顺序说明的。
下面分开来介绍下这三种常见的说明文的三种说明顺序。

“如果你有很多钱，你会干什么？”这是一个非常复杂的问题。有人也许想买一辆昂贵的车，还有人想买一栋豪华的房子。或着有人想经营一个公司等。我也有我自己的想法。

If I have a lot of money, I will help my best friend to set up a training school. Since this is his greatest dream. If I can make his dream come true, I will be very honorable. I will let him be the boss, but I only want to be his assistant.
如果我有很多钱，我会帮助我最好的朋友建立一个培训学校。因为这是他最大的梦想。如果我能实现他的梦想，我会感到很光荣。我会让他成为老板，而我只想做他的助手。
