People travel by plane, by train, by ship, by bus. For me, the best way of traveling on a summer vacation is to go on foot.人们去旅游有的乘飞机、有的坐火车、坐船、乘公共汽车。对我来说在暑假，最好的方式是徒步旅行。
My preference depends on the purpose of the travel. On a summer vacation I travel to refresh myself and to see the countryside. When I use my feet and walk on a grass covered path along a river or among the hills I feel detached from the noise of the city and closer to the nature. And when I travel on foot I get more freedom. I can plan my own schedule. I can choose my own route. I can stop where I like. 那时，我对什么是“爱”懵懵懂懂，总希望别人宠着我，然而，您没有。更多的时候，您会严厉训斥我，对我做的每件事百般挑剔。看着其他孩子的妈妈常面带笑容地与孩子玩耍，我羡慕又妒嫉。真怀疑自己是从马路边捡来的，但我和妈妈近乎相似的脸已经说明了一切。
八岁，对于这个年龄段温存的记忆，有一件事我永远忘不了。
那是个周末，我偷跑去玩，以致到了周六晚上，不多的作业还有一半没有写完。妈妈下班回来问我作业写完没有。为了不挨骂，我撒了谎，想不到妈妈信以为真。周日，我有点事，晚上六点才回家，我鼓足勇气说明了真相，妈妈严肃地说：“不行，你贪玩不写作业还说谎，错上加错，你让老师训你吧。”
