When Christmas Eve came, the poor one had not a bite in the house, either of meat or bread; so he went to his brother, and begged him, in God's name, to give him something for Christmas Day. It was by no means the first time that the brother had been forced to give something to him, and he was not better pleased at being asked now than he generally was.
"If you will do what I ask you, you shall have a whole ham," said he. The poor one immediately thanked him, and promised this.
"Well, here is the ham, and now you must go straight to Dead Man's Hall," said the rich brother, throwing the ham to him.
"Well, I will do what I have promised," said the other, and he took the ham and set off. He went on and on for the livelong day, and at nightfall he came to a place where there was a bright light.
"I have no doubt this is the place," thought the man with the ham.
An old man with a long white beard was standing in the outhouse, chopping Yule logs.
"Good-evening," said the man with the ham.
"Good-evening to you. Where are you going at this late hour?" said the man.
"I am going to Dead Man's Hall, if only I am on the right track," answered the poor man.
"Oh! yes, you are right enough, for it is here," said the old man. "When you get inside they will all want to buy your ham, for they don't get much meat to eat there; but you must not sell it unless you can get the hand-mill which stands behind the door for it. When you come out again I will teach you how to stop the hand-mill, which is useful for almost everything."
So the man with the ham thanked the other for his good advice, and rapped at the door.

It showed school children playing hide and seek, which is a game I used to play with my friends during recess. Seeing these films demonstrated to me that education is a common goal in every country. Parents want their children to learn so their lives will improve. It also showed me that children in schools everywhere wants to play with their friends. Sometimes the games are similar to ours and sometimes they’re different. Still, they all have the common purpose of fun and learning to work together.
Earning a living is another common goal. I’ve often seen that in movies about other countries. In some countries, people choose their careers from what they like and are good at. In other countries, careers are chosen for them following the traditions of their families. But in every country it seems that people care a great deal about earning a living, and working hard is respected.
Showing people having fun together is always an important part of any movies, no matter what country it comes from. People everywhere want to be entertained, and want to spend time with their families and friends. Different cultures sometimes enjoy different activities, but all cultures enjoy some form of sports, music and dancing.
The movies I’ve seen make it clear to me that no matter the cultural differences between countries, people everywhere have the same basic needs and goals.

想必大家都听过华盛顿砍倒樱花树的事情吧！事情发生后，他不但没有逃避，反而自己承认，结果没有遭到责备，而是受到赞美，在这之中，华盛顿的责任就是坦承砍倒樱花树，他做到了，也就是负责任，所以使他没有遭到责备，当然，不是做错任何事，只要负起责任，就会没事。是否负责的结果分为两类－如果负责：可能会得到奖赏或夸奖，譬如说：平常努力用功读书，考试考了好成绩，除了父母可能会给零用钱外，自己的获益也不少。相对的，如果不负责任，就会遭到责备，甚至处罚，例如：不做好学生的本份，只知道四处游玩，考试成绩没有一科能看，不但要接受父母可怕的埋怨声，还使知识荷包不断缩水，这样的生意可是一点儿也划不来啊！
在公民教育的课程中，全部都是在讨论责任，其中，令我最深刻的，便是“承诺”，也是责任的重要环节之一，只要答应了，就一定要实现，不可食言，也就是所谓的信，要信实、信用，俗话说的好：“人无信不立”，说话要守信用，做事要尽责任，信”是人与人互相信赖的桥梁，一旦桥断了，便很难再修复。另外，负责任有时不是想象的那么容易，不知大家有没有这种经验，为了负起某件责任，必须牺牲平时喜欢做的事，譬如说：为了照顾婴儿，无法出去玩，或是功课没写完，不能玩电脑等。
总而言之，不论是哪一方面的责任，都要竭自己的所能去做，先将本份做好，再去承诺别人，千万别在责任中做亏本的生意。

呵呵，书籍的力量还真是大啊。长大了，读的书多了些，才渐渐明白责任，这个堪比信念的东西，比一切都重的东西。每天背在肩上的书包，我觉得没多重，就算塞满书我也可以很轻松，依然微微笑着。但责任并不是肉体所能承载的，堪比信念的东需要一个干净的灵魂来承载，如果内心并不善良的人，怎么可能会承担自己的责任？只是会一味想着自己的利益。我倒觉得很有可能在责任来临之前这种人早就跑了，根本不要责任，随手扔进垃圾桶。不，这种人估计是不会保护环境的，而是丢在无人问津的大街上。
我只想搞清楚责任为什么会降临到每个人的头上。被压的人似乎也很多啊？
为了生存？
我想应该是。
每天读书时我的责任，而读书是为了明天，一个阳光灿烂的未来，到了如今我终于什么都明白了：说什么责任是崇高的，呵呵，不过是为了生存着的借口，现在什么东西都要包装一下，才能卖的更好，世态炎凉啊。
连我都被蒙骗了许久。
我虽然不想承认，但事实就是这么不堪入目，一切都是神化的罪恶。
