首先，我去的这个地方，有个很特别的名字，叫“二楼南书房”。为什么呢?因为它位于南京一个老小区里，是一座二层楼的房子。我们来到小区门口，迎面就是两块刻着诗句的木板挂在大门的\'两侧。继续往里走，来到最里面，便看见一座挂着“二楼南书房”牌子的小楼。沿着狭窄的楼梯上到二楼，就是书房。房间内，一股温暖的气息扑面而来，蜜似的灯光流淌在小小的房间里，除了四边的书柜就只有一张书桌和几组沙发，温馨的感觉让人好像回到了家。
这里安静极了，除了沙沙的书页翻动声，只有屋外远远出来的汽车喇叭声。静谧的感觉感染了每一个人，同样也感染了我。平时不动难受的我也静静地看着书。
由于时间的关系，我们带着不舍离开了“二楼南书房”，接着来到了大众书局。这里与“二楼南书房”的环境截然不同，虽然地方很大，但是楼上楼下挤满了人，看书的、选书的、买书的、聊天的～，熙熙攘攘，吵吵闹闹。许许多多种类的书籍被分门别类地放置在不同的柜台，每个柜台旁边都有很多人在专心的看着书。我发现了一本有趣的漫画书，立刻被吸引住了，很快就静下心来，坐在角落里一边看一边开心的咯咯笑。
沉浸在书中的我，感觉还意犹未尽，就到了该回家的时候。我依依不舍的离开了书店，和爸爸妈妈踏上了返程。希望能够常在书海中遨游。

莎士比亚说过：“书籍是人类进步的阶梯。”还有一个名人说过：“书是全人类的营养品。”如果没有书，文明社会也就荡然无存。每个人的身躯在四处游荡，而灵魂却是枯索的。因为没有书籍的灌溉和滋润。真的到那时，那泼妇骂街，尔虞我诈，偷鸡摸狗恐怕也成为正常现象。人们不再为塑造形象，保持修养而互相约束，不再为传统美德，文明礼仪而互相谦让，整个社会除了野蛮，就是暴力，不再有人遵纪守法，不再有人以身作则，这样的社会怎么会有文明，知识的诞生？我曾经看过这样一个报道：据有关专家调查，受过教育与没有受过教育的.孩子，长大后，他们处理事情的方式是不同的。前者遇事沉着冷静，懂得以恰当合理的的方式方法解决问题，而后者遇事气急败坏，总认为方法可以解决任何事情。这样就造成了：
前者往往会成为一个遵纪守法的公民，居社会上层；而后者往往成了为了丁点大的事而大打出手触犯法律。我想监狱应该是他们度过后半生的地方。可见书对一个人的成长，发展，良好性格的形成是至关重要的。如果没有了书，人类如何发展，如何创造？没有了书，人类只能趋于落后，趋于灭亡。
如果没有了书，就没有欣欣向荣的世界，就没有现在充满道德与法律的社会，就没有这样丰硕的科技成果，更没有这样一个聪明的我坐在这里称赞书的美好。
