但最令我吃惊得是，他们仍穿着厚重的长袖和长裤。刺眼的太阳光迫使他们的眼睛眯成了一条缝，再加上瀑布般的汗水由额头倾覆下来，眯得再小的眼睛也一定会火辣辣得疼。我又仔细望了望他们黝黑的，饱经风霜的脸，却又马上不忍心看了，一种浓厚的同情心油然而生。
我相信，街道边勃勃生机的绿叶丛和井井有序的大树一定是他们环卫工人的唯一安慰和快乐了。
日子过得飞快，转眼间又是我回家的那天。两个星期内，我又经历了一系列的忧伤和压力。可偏偏不巧得是，那天乌云密布，倾盆大雨无情地打湿了我的衣服。我的心情很不愉快，快快地将头靠在车窗边，看车外一副被大雨“摧残”的凄凉景色。我突然想到了路边上的小绿叶丛，心又凉了半截，大概谁也不会留意它们吧……
马上就要经过那条道路了，我的眼睛一亮，却发现那些小绿叶丛都被黑色的纱布覆盖得完好无损，就好像是温柔的母亲用手臂遮挡住了所有雨水，我心里的乌云也瞬同像是被一只无形的手抚过，紧接着阳光照射了进来。
这当然全是环卫工人的功劳，我开始寻找那些身影，却找不到了，或许他们早已做好了这些措施。
我对他们的态度完全由同情转变成了敬仰。我无法想象没有这些辛勤的工人我们的世界会变成什么样。他们第一时间考虑的总是谁也不会关注的花花草草；他们尽心尽力工作，却让我们拥有了一整天的好心情；他们毫无怨言日复一日，年复一年得重复枯燥的程序，只为让我们生活得更美好，更愉快。
然而，我们什么时候也能关注一下他们呢？其实一声问候，一个微笑就足以让他们欣慰了，我们应当明白：这个世界属要他们。
