偏岩古镇也叫金刀峡古镇，位于重庆市北碚区的东北部，坐落在华蓥山脉西南面的两支余脉之间‘地处丘陵，呈东北高，西南低之势，平均海拔为520米，最高达942。9米。因镇北处有一岩壁倾斜高耸，悬空陡峭，故名偏岩镇。于2005年8月与金刀峡镇合并为金刀峡镇。
我们现在的位置处于偏滩岩古镇的新开发区，你们看，围绕古镇的是一条清澈见底的小溪，这条小溪名叫“黑水滩”，这条小溪清澈得可以看见水底的黑石头，从远处看好像一条黑色的水滩，所以人们叫他“黑水滩”。在黑水滩的一旁矗立着一排排古老的建筑，据说这些建筑有一百多年的历史，这些建筑多为木竹结构，皆以木头骨架，以木板或竹编篱笆糊粉为墙。屋顶多为硬山顶或悬山顶，茨瓦素墙，简陋中透出清新，朴素的气息。
偏滩岩古镇最有特色之处的除了上面的古建筑之外，就要数小溪两旁的古老沧桑的黄角树了。那一棵棵黄角树据说有一百多年的历史，是国家二级保护树。别看他们年龄大，但都枝繁叶茂，郁郁葱葱，或屹立于小桥流水旁，或矗立在半山中，不管是在哪里，都像一位位精神矍铄的老人，守护着这古老的小镇。这“黑水滩”两旁古老的黄角树和古老建筑再加上古朴的小桥倒影在清澈的小溪里，构成了一幅水墨画，真有点“江南水乡”的韵味。
我们过了一座古朴的小桥就来到“禹王寺”，这个寺庙也有很长的历史，但是他的建筑从简陋中透出清新，朴素的气息。这里除了“禹王寺”，东边还有石佛寺，西边还有龙兴寺，南有响水寺，北有皇寺。
禹王寺的南面有一个古色古香的戏台。戏台上屋空间开敞，四周梁柱雕刻精美的古代戏剧图案，戏台下为暗屋，专供杂勤人员之用。节庆之时，周围乡邻与来往宾客云集于此，看戏娱乐，热闹非凡。
顺着黑水滩就来到了“偏岩”，偏岩有一个传说：爆发成灾，民间传说系孽龙出山兴风作浪，遂将此地取名为“接龙”，以示平安吉祥。接龙场上场横街处有一高30米的悬崖向西北方向倾斜，人们将此称为“偏岩”，偏岩镇因此而得名。
最后一个景点我们来到了偏岩古镇的正街街道，街道用青石铺筑而成，在阳光的照射下，金光闪闪，街道两旁是一家家店铺，街道上人来人往，热闹非凡。

兵马俑的规模宏大。有三个俑坑，其中一号坑最大，你知道一号俑坑有多长多宽吗？你知道坑里有多少兵马俑吗？它东西长230米，南北宽62米，总面积是14260平方米，坑里的兵马俑也最多，有六千多个。
兵马俑不仅规模宏大，而且类型众多，个性鲜明。
我们前面这些兵马俑是将军俑。你看将军俑身材魁梧，头上带着一顶古书上说的一种善斗的鸟，身披着铠甲，昂首挺胸。那神态自若样子，一看就知道久经沙场。
看这些是武士俑，武士俑平均身高是1。8米。它们身上穿着战袍，披着铠甲，脚蹬着前端向上翘起的战靴，手持兵器。这些是骑兵俑。骑兵俑上身穿着短甲，下身穿着短口裤，足蹬长靴，右手拿着缰绳，左手拿着弓箭，好像随时准备上马冲。你看这些陶马与真马一般大小，一匹匹体型健壮。那跃跃欲试的样子，好像一声下令，就会撒开四蹄，腾空而起，踏上征程。
你仔细端详每个兵马俑，它们神态各异：有的颔首低眉，若有所思，好像在考虑如何互相配合，战胜敌人；有的目光炯炯，好像在暗下决心，誓为秦国统一天下作殊拼搏；有的紧握双拳，好像在听候号角，待命出征；有的凝视远方，好像在思念远方的亲人。

游客们，现在我们来到已经站在万寿山的山顶了，站得高，看得远，大家看，呈现在我们眼前的是一个很大的湖泊叫昆明湖。瞧，昆明湖静得像一面镜子，绿得像一块碧玉。湖上还有好几座式样不同的石桥，最引人注目的就是十七孔桥了，这座桥的石栏杆上有上百根石柱，石柱上雕刻着小狮子，各个都姿态不一，活灵活现。走过十七孔桥，我们就可以观赏湖中心小岛上美丽的风景，那里更有一番情趣。
