很喜欢动物小说，很喜欢为里面那些机智勇敢的小动物打抱不平，为它们向人类诉说天地的不公。先是在在《刀疤豺母》的序言里我读到一句加拿大作家西顿说的让我感动的一句话：“人类常以开发文明以借口，破坏美丽的大自然，甚至肆意害野生动物。而我始终想赋予它们安宁、平静的生活。人们停止虐待野生动物，是我最大的愿望。”默默地读着，感受到了这份大作家话语中的分量。
这本书中讲述作者沈石溪和向导强巴在草原上碰上了一群金背豺，它们的领头是一个脸上带有刀疤的母豺。那匹领头豺脸上的刀疤是强巴以前和藏獒雪娇打猎时用腰刀砍下的痕迹，在那场搏斗中，强巴安全了但是他心爱的藏獒雪娇却变成了一堆白骨，因此强巴决定复仇，用猎手的名誉把这群恶豺(金背豺统统消灭，所以在书中强巴费尽心思要除掉这批金背豺。
而沈石溪在和这些有过和豺交涉过程中发现金背豺的领头刀疤豺母极其悟得出人类的表达，而且很“和善”，不会没有起因地向人类发出攻击，是非常通人性的一只豺。在强巴的轰赶下这群金背豺离开了这片草原。从此这片草原上的牧民懒惰起来，还有红毛雪兔大量的繁殖，草原露出了土黄色地，使得家畜没有东西吃。强巴慌了后又听到沈石溪的话决定和沈石溪一起去把金背豺请回来维护草原的生态平衡。
读完这本书，值得我们深思，最要想的就是猎人。有的时候，人类不顾大自然的食物链只是想着自己的收获和最后的利益，而砍那些眼中钉，接着你可能会认为自己的做法非常对，因为自己的做法能让大家的日子过得越来越好，越来越富有，但是任何事情都有两个截然不同的方面，虽然你会收获许多钱财上的物质，但是不久你就会发现你的行动会给大自然带来多少伤害。
就拿这本书来说吧。文中的强巴不顾沈石溪的反对硬是把金背豺赶出了草原，这下子动物都没有了顾忌，所以一些繁殖快的小动物比如红毛雪兔就会不停的繁殖。这下猎人高兴啊，成天收获着几十只甚至几百只的红毛雪兔。可是因为红毛雪兔的繁殖过快，人类的猎捕比不上兔子的繁殖，所以草原上的小草都被雪兔啃得伤痕累累有的饿疯的雪兔还把树给吃了!影响了草原的\'形象不说，有的还跑到村里偷粮食吃，村民的牲畜没了草吃也都倒了下去。你说，破坏大自然的食物链有什么好处!
草原上，狼吃羊和马，是人和牲畜的大敌，但是狼也吃田鼠、野兔和黄羊，田鼠、野兔、黄羊等又吃草，草又是羊和马的主要粮食，羊和马又是人的主要食物来源。草原是一个伟大的母亲，养育着她的子民们，这些生物组成了一个庞大的生物王国，形成了环环相扣的食物链。凡是破坏了其中的一层，哪怕是小小的一层，整个食物链将会被打破，弄不好这些动物甚至人类都会同归于尽。
每个在大自然中存活下来的动物都有它们自己所不可替代的角色，因为这些动物的存在，大自然才变得生动美丽。所以，我们不能刻意地捕某种动物，因为每个动物都是对大自然和食物链有作用的，保护生态平衡，不破坏大自然的食物链!

这本书用一则则引人深思的故事告诉我们小学生：全球的人都希望美好，都呼唤绿色文明。
在这一则则故事中，有两类人：一种人为了保护生态平衡付出了生命;另一种人，恰恰相反，破坏了生态平衡。在《一个小山村的故事里》，村子里的人为了造房子，做犁，就可以拎起斧头到山上去，把一颗一颗树砍倒，运下来。就这样，山上出现了裸露的土地。一代代下去，村里的树木消失了，只剩下大大小小的房子和浓浓的烟雾了。过了不知多少年、多少代，在一个雨水奇多的八月，那村子便被洪水冲走了。由于人类不断地砍伐树木，破坏了生态平衡，结果一定会像那个小山村一样，自取自灭。
《女孩子和丹顶鹤》中，善良的徐秀娟为了救回一只失散了的丹顶鹤，沉入了复堆河底，在也回不到她亲爱的鹤儿们身边了……徐秀娟是人民的好女儿，她为了保护一只丹顶鹤，而不惜自己的生命，结果自己牺牲在了保护环境的工作岗位上。她为了一只鸟都可以牺牲自己的一切，那为生态就更不用说了。
建设生态文明是要从我们每个人做起的。在家中，我不浪费粮食，从不会白白放掉自来水，我会巧妙再利用：洗脸水可以用来浇花、冲马桶，离开房间时，我会主动关灯。为保护生态做出我微小的努力。
如果人们乱砍树木，就会造成水土流失，会引发洪水、泥石流等地质灾害。如果人们浪费水，那最后一滴水将会是人们的眼泪。如果人们乱捕动物，那动物就会从地球上消失，人类作为高级动物也不能幸免于难。
