经典著作英语作文【一】
这本书的确不错，因为每一种生物，每一个不同种族，都有一幅图画，还是彩色的。刚打开这本书，立刻就被山海经总貌的地图所吸引，当时似乎水平面还高点，我的老家山东竟然还有一小半在水里，而且每一种神奇的动物，植物所在的山峰、河流都一座座串联起来，看后简直说不出话来。
里面对于各个“国”及不同的民族的风俗都给予了不错的见解，比如书中提到的：单腿、单眼、单耳、单手单脚的国家，也许可能是这种居民的服饰问题，总是盖住一只手脚，所以记载成这样。
不过，对这本书的作者有一点不满，如果你买了书就知道了，因为作者在阐述某种比较奇特的怪物时，如果这个怪物太过于超乎常识，特别是现今的生物，物理常识，马上就会说：那是记载错误，或是由人假扮的巫术活动!!
我个人以为，山海经实在太遥远了，当时人们的思维，特别是写这本书的人，他是为了什么目的，这些真的无从可考!我们没有亲身经历过当时的岁月，仅仅是用现在的人们对这个社会，对自然的了解，就可以出书
说：“那个时候应该是怎么怎么样……”就好像我们用自己的思维去研究别人在想什么，好像不会有什么结果。
《山海经》成书于战国至汉初。记载40个方国、550座山、300条水道，100多个历史人物。400多神怪异兽。集地理志、方物志、民族志、民俗志、巫术以及大量原始神话于一身。
古时学者大都认为《山海经》是夏禹、伯益所作，今天看来此说纯属无稽之谈。无论是从其包罗万象的内容上看，还是从各篇成书时间早晚不一上看，《山海经》非出于一时一人之手，是集体编述而成。因为《山海经》的内容非常广泛，是民间个人无力完成的，即使一个氏族部落的领导集团也只能编成其中的一部分。由于受古时地域、交通条件的限制，一个部落不可能了解到各个的情况。所以，只能通过巫师口耳相传累积，在大一统的后世将其加以整理成书。而早期巫师的职责，决定了他们文化知识的结构，大凡天文、地理、历史、宗教、生物、医药、帝王世系及重大技术发明等等，无不知晓，故《山海经》的内容十分驳杂。
《山海经》所记的山、水、国、民族、动物、植物、矿物、药物等，除大部分是殊异的而外，也有一部分是常见的。然而，无论其是殊异的还是常见的，都是上古历史、地理、风俗的一个侧面。所以，要了解古代的山川地理、民俗风物、奇兽怪鸟、神仙魔鬼、金玉珍宝、自然矿物、神话故事，不可不读《山海经》。
《山海经》中所保存的为人们所熟知的精卫填海、夸父追日、羿射九日、禹鲧治水、共工怒触不周山等神话传说，不仅是以幻想的形式反映了人与自然的矛盾，更重要的是给人们以积极鼓舞;而那些如太阳每天的东升西落、月亮每月的圆缺盈亏、一年四季的寒暑变化等有关自然界的记述，不仅仅是上古人要为解释自然现象而作，更重要的是给人们以探索的勇气!

Every girl dreams and Li Xie is no exception. She has read dozens of books on how to be a ballerina and Swam.
每一个女孩都有梦想，李协也不例外。她读了很多书，都是关于如何成为一个芭蕾舞演员的
Lake is her favorite. She hopes one day her dream will come true. She has taken ballet lessons and all her teachers confirm she is a good student.
她最喜欢的是天鹅湖。她希望有一天能梦想成真。她参加了芭蕾舞培训班，所有老师都认为她很优秀。
One day she saw an advertisement that a famous ballerina troupe will be performing in her hometown.
一天，有一则广告说一个著名的芭蕾舞团要在她的家乡演出
Her thoughts ran wild, "I must meet up with the leader of the troupe and show him my skills, " she murmured to herself.
她看到后顿时思绪纷杂，自言自语道：¨我必须要见见团长，展示一下我的`才艺。¨
She dressed herself in her ballerina costume and managed to evade the guards and hid in the dressing room.

To her luck the leader entered and she timidly knocked at the door.

She bravely approached him and handed him a bunch of red roses and in her excitement the thorns pricked her hand but she did not make much ado about the pain.
她鼓足勇气走近他，送上一束红玫瑰。激动之余，玫瑰的刺戳到了她的手，但她根本没有在意。
The leader observed her action as she told him her dream. "Alright, you dance and I will give you my verdict."
在她给团才讲自己的梦想时，团长注意到了她的举止。“好吧，你先跳，我再说我的意见。"
But half way through the dance he stopped her and said, "I'm sorry you're not good enough!"
但是她只跳了一半，团长就让她停下来，说道： ¨我很抱歉你跳得还不。
On hearing this Li Xie ran as fast as her legs could carry her and was ashamed. She gave up her dream.
听到这话，李协非常羞愧，拼命地跑开了。从此，她放弃了梦想。
Many years later, she heard that the same ballet troupe was performing in her town again.

Bitter memories of the leader's harsh words came flooding back to her.

This time she was determined to find out Why the leader had told her she was not good enough when all her teachers thought otherwise.

I remember your gift of roses and how the thorns had pricked your fingers but you carried on bravery.

The two pictures look so similar at one glance, but they are totally different. In the first picture, a peasant boy, carrying a heavy bundle of rice straw is out of breath under the great pressure. His hope is to have a school to attend. In the second picture, a student is on his way home from school, a heavy bag of books on his back. What he wishes is that he didn’t have to go to school any more. How can the two boys at the same age have such different ideas about attending school?
The two pictures show some problems in the present education system in China. In the poor countryside, especially in some western parts of China, the education is also poor. There are no buildings for classrooms, let alone good teachers. Children there cannot have regular education. They are sometimes forced to leave their studies because their families cannot afford the necessary fees. However, the situation is totally different in the cities. Almost all the children in the cities can have regular education. They can enjoy the bright classrooms and adequate facilities. But they have their own problems. What they face is the endless homework, which puts so much pressure on them that some students don’t want to continue their studies.
Given the problems above, our government has taken some measures. “The Hope Project” has been in operation to ensure that children in the poor areas can achieve education. Some strategies have also been put into force to reduce the pressure on the students. Teachers are asked not to give too much homework. Emphasis should be put on the improvement of the quality of the students. However, there is a long way to go in the improvement of our education conditions. The whole society should be mobilized to make some contributions to our education.
