都江堰的美景英语作文【一】
都江堰水利工程是公元前256年，李冰率众修建的。
这项工程主要由鱼嘴分水堤、飞沙堰溢洪道、宝瓶口进水口等附属工程构成。
我们先走进了一座寺庙。刚从门口进去，便可看见两尊石像，一尊雕得是李冰，还有一尊是一个堰工，第三尊还没挖出来。
再往里走，便可与宝瓶口近在咫尺。据讲解，宝瓶口上宽下窄，原先在宝瓶口有一块大石头，宽20公尺，高40公尺，长80公尺。这块石头挡住了水流，当时没有火药，经过实地勘察，李冰以火烧石，使岩石爆裂。我心想，李冰真聪明啊！
接着过一个索桥就可以到飞沙堰了。飞沙堰的主要作用是让多余的水从飞沙堰上面过去，遇到特大洪水的非常情况，它还会自行溃堤；它的另一作用是“分沙”，不让宝瓶口和灌区淤塞。
我们最后来到“鱼嘴”。 “鱼嘴”是都江堰的分水工程，因为它的样子像鱼嘴而得名，解决了江水自动分流（四六分水）、自动排沙（二八分沙）的问题。它把岷江分成内外二江，西边叫外江，俗称“金马河”，是岷江正流，主要用于排洪；东边沿山脚的叫内江，是人工引水渠道，主要用于灌溉。
这都是李冰父子为人民做的，人们为了纪念李冰父子，建了一座李冰父子庙，称为二王庙。
我看了这些工程，不禁赞叹：古人的智慧真无穷，一个水利工程也有这么多学问。

踏入都江堰景区，不远处就是重檐碧瓦的伏龙观，传说李冰父子治水时曾制服岷江孽龙，将其锁于离堆下伏龙潭中，后人依此立祠祭祀，北宋初改名伏龙观，始以道士掌管香火。在伏龙观的`后面，就是远近闻名的宝瓶口，它能起到节制闸的作用，自动控制江内进水量，是玉垒山伸向岷江的一个开口，因似瓶口且功能奇特，故名“宝瓶口”。而开凿玉垒山分离的石堆就是“离堆”。
绕过宝瓶口，一路上晴空万里，过了摇摇晃晃的安澜索桥，就看见眼前的岷江被分成了两部分，这儿就是都江堰最重要的工程地点——鱼嘴。它是都江堰重要的组成部分，将岷江分为东边的内江和西边的外江，外江主要排洪，内江引水灌溉。在岸边的碑状石块，是测量岷江水急程度的，当石块被冲到离岸上很近的地方时，说明水流很急；反之，水流则不急。
过了鱼嘴，就是另一个重要工程——飞沙堰，唐朝名“侍郎堰”，后又名“减水河”，它具有泄洪排沙的显著功能，是都江堰的关键要害。
随着人流一路观赏，天渐渐阴了下来，不多时，便有雨点落在身上，于是我们只好依依不舍地离开了都江堰。我回头望了望它，心想，以后我一定还会有机会再来到这里领略都江堰的风采！

在我的印象中桂林是阳光明媚的地方。我每年都梦想去那里度假。桂林以它美丽的自然风光出名。

首先，由于良好的.纬度，冬天不是很冷夏天也不太热。所以那里是四季如春。

The elephant mountain,it's the symbol of the city.

今天我来到了四川的都江堰。都江堰是一个美丽的地方。
一开始，我们去了“铁索桥”。铁索桥摇摆不定晃得很厉害，有许多上初中的女孩子吓得都连连尖叫。可是我一点也不害怕，安安全全地走过了铁索桥。
接着我们又来到了“鱼嘴”。鱼嘴是一个景点，大大的鱼嘴分开了泯江。泯江被分成了内江和外江。外江的作用是防洪。内江的作用是给成都人民提供生活灌溉用水。
我们最后一个景点是“宝瓶口”。宝瓶口是都江堰最早修建者李宾和千万乡亲们一块挖出来的'一条江——也就是现在的内江。内江也是从这流出去的。据说这还有一个美丽的传说，李宾的女儿是一个貌如天仙的美女。在最后一个山口快要建好的时候，为了把最后一点最难炸开的山口炸开，李宾的女儿一下子跳进了江里。这时谁都知道跳下去就是。可是他的女儿依然奋不顾身的跳下去炸开了山口。水终于流通了。可是李宾的女儿却牺牲了。她的灵魂飞到了玉山上。日夜守护着泯江，保护着成都人民。
啊！美丽的都江堰可真是人类历史上又一伟大的工程。
