抱着随便翻翻的心情打开了六下的语文书，并没有想做什么，只是想当小说翻阅一下而已。
可是，意料之外的事发生了，我的眼球居然被第三课的文章《桃花心木》吸引了。不是像侦探小说那样扣人心弦，而是被文中的一段意味深长的话吸引了，只觉得这富有哲理的话深深地触动我的'心。
那段话是这样说的：“不只是树，人也是一样，在不确定中生活的人，能比较经得起生活的考验，会锻炼出一颗独立自主的心。在不确定中，就能学会把很少的养分转化为巨大的能量，努力生长。”仅仅六十八个字，却那样的深奥，那样难懂而易懂的人生哲理﹍﹍
文中所讲的种树人，他用不定期来浇水的方式，让树学会独立生长，那人何尝不是如此呢?树只有在不确定中努力汲水生长，才能长成参天的大树，人也是如此，只有经得起挫折，接着战胜困难，才能够成功。人生的道路不可能是笔直而一帆风顺，每一次的失败都是一次历练，而每一次的历练恰恰是最值得纪念的，因为那是我们积累的经验与教训。
小时候，谁没有跌倒过，就学会了走路，谁没有掉下过一堆饭米粒，就学会了吃饭?因为我们不可能在婴儿车上过一生或是让我们的父母喂一辈子的饭。我们和树一样，不能依赖。树不能依赖那位种树人天天来给它们定时定量地浇水，人也不能依赖父母让其养一辈子，因为终究有一天，我们会离开他们的怀抱远走高飞。我以前书上看到过的一个故事：讲得是一个生活在父母保护伞下的女孩，到外地读书。一个学期过去了，父母到车站，迎接她的到来。但是出现在他们面前的女儿真是让他们大吃一惊——女儿拎着大包小包的东西回来了，其中有一样东西几乎有她一人高!原来是这样的，她不会洗被子，便想带会来，让母亲帮忙洗，可是发现自己连取下被单都不会，只好把整条被子一起带回来了……
这也就像依赖于种树人每天来定时定量地浇水的树是一样的，树不会自己在土地里找水源，遇到狂风暴雨，一吹就倒，而人呢?就会经不起困难与挫折。因此，我们就要学会独立生长，向着阳光，抬头挺胸面对风暴，面对冰雪，努力克服困难，从而获得成功。
做一个独立的人，笑对困难，努力拼搏。离开了保护伞，来到世界万物之中，也许会头破流、遍体鳞伤，但只要有坚定的信念——相信自己可以成功，我们终久会变得更加强大!
