每次，当我要请爸爸帮忙时，妈妈总是恶声恶气地说：“他会啥！”我真觉得妈妈是“从门缝里看人——把人看扁了”。因为好些妈妈不会的爸爸都会，有时还不得不让妈妈刮目相看呢！
就比如有一次，妹妹有一道“照样子写词语”的题不会，于是去问妈妈，可妈妈冥思苦想了很久还是想不出来，于是找我来给妹妹“出谋划策”。妈妈对我说“翻天覆地，这个词再照样子写出三个你会吗？”“翻天覆地、翻天覆地……”我念道，可念了很多遍，费了很多脑细胞，可还是想不出来。
于是我想问爸爸，可妈妈看见了我这个举动，就说：“他会啥，咱们都不会，他小学毕业的人能会？”可我执意把爸爸拉来坐在椅子上：“翻天覆地再照样子写几个词语你会吗？”没想到爸爸略一思索就说出了“惊天动地”这个词，妈妈一听赶紧说：“还行啊，我想不出来你竟然想起来了。”紧接着爸爸思索了一会，又说出了“铺天盖地”，这时妈妈不服气地说：“有本事你再说出第三个啊？”爸爸想了大半天也没有想出来，妈妈说“这第三个我们都想不出来，还是空那吧！”没想到爸爸语出惊人，又说了“欢天喜地”这个词语，正好三个，这次可真是让妈妈对爸爸刮目相看了。
通过这件事我明白了每个人都有自己的长处，不能总是只看别人的缺点来武断地评价别人，应该多看他人的优点，这样才能使自己更全面的看人。
