1.了解本学期课程设置。
课程设置与上学期一致，其中《地方课程》仍使用上学期下发的《人·自然·社会》。课程表仍使用上学期的。《音乐》和《美术》用书是循环使用课本，上课时老师会下发，用后收起来。
2.了解语文整册教材的编排。
以主题编排，共有8个主题，每个主题中均有1个识字、4或5篇课文、1个园地、1次口语交际。
3.初步理解“何为主题性学习”。
（1）以第一个主题为例讲解“主题”。
快速阅读本组课文，找找有什么共通点？揭示“春天”这一主题。
（2）阅读“目录”，从课题猜测“这是什么主题？”
让学生初步了解八个主题：多彩的春天，家庭生活，保护环境，快乐的夏天，动脑筋想办法，我们的生活多么幸福，我们都有好品质，我们身边的科学。
在看课题猜主题的同时，随机地让学生谈谈翻阅新书的收获，如：《胖乎乎的小手》讲了什么；《棉鞋里的阳光》讲了谁做了什么事；《乌鸦喝水》的故事听过了吗；《快乐的节日》是指哪个节日啊；《手捧空花盆的孩子》主要讲了谁呀，又是怎样的一件事呢……
4.齐读“新学期新希望”，知道新的学期，大家又要重新出发，只要努力，每个人都有希望。
