我家有一只可爱的大蜗牛，它是妈妈买菜时发现的，我把它放在一个装有新鲜青菜的盒子里养着。
蜗牛的背上有个重重壳，那是它的'房子。它有一对长长的触角，触角上有两个小鼓包，那是它的眼睛。它的嘴巴小小的，很难发现，书上说：“蜗牛的牙齿有上百、上千颗呢！”它在明亮的地方会不停地爬动。一不留神，它就爬到盒子的边缘，差点从桌子上摔到地下。我飞快地抓起它的房子，把它放在盒子中间的菜叶上。它又在爬动，它爬过的地方留下了白色的粘液。因为蜗牛喜欢生活在阴暗、潮湿的地方，所以我就把菜叶盖在它身上，挡住了所有的光线。过了一会儿，盒子里一点动静也没有。我轻轻地拿起其中的一片菜叶，看到它竟然躲在自己的大房子里睡觉。我也不去打扰它了。
这就是我的大蜗牛，我非常喜欢它。

“叫牛不是牛，背着房子到处走。”今天我来好好观察下这则谜语的主人公——蜗牛。
蜗牛的背上有一个像螺丝一样的壳，非常坚硬。身体软软的，尾巴缩在壳里，头部和腹部可以伸出来。它的头上长着两对触角，我用放大镜仔细观察，发现长的触角的顶端长着一双眼睛。腹部肌肉发达，用手一摸粘粘的。腹部的边缘是波浪形的褶皱，也叫作“足”。
我把蜗牛放在一张报纸上，随着蜗牛缓慢爬动，报纸渐渐皱了起来，爬行的线路上还留下了一些液体。这是怎么回事呢？我凑近观察，发现蜗牛的腹足在爬行的时候一伸一缩交替向前，像波浪一样前进，所以报纸才会随着它的运动一皱一皱的。我用手摸了一下报纸上的液体，发现粘粘的，原来液体可以帮助蜗牛减少阻力，方便它“滑”着爬行。我还发现蜗牛像壁虎一样可以吸在壁上和顶上。我仔细看，发现蜗牛的腹部像吸盘一样紧紧吸在壁面，这样它就不会掉下来了。
蜗牛真是一个神奇的动物啊！
