走进大门，摆在眼前的是一个大大的花坛，里面种着各种各样的花，有菊花、牡丹花，还有些不知名而且很漂亮的花。花的中间有着牛的塑像，牛拿着一个写着2009的牌字，显得很威武。绕过花坛，前面是三条路，右边是通往动物园，我们到动物园里，里面有许多动物：有蛇、孔雀、老虎、猴子、狮子、等等，我们又去走九曲桥，说到九曲桥，那是一条很奇特的桥，整条桥弯弯曲曲，分为九段，所以被人们称为“九曲桥”，桥的两边是用大理石砌成的护栏，护栏上刻着奇特而美丽的花纹。湖中间是个亭子，这亭子叫做“湖心亭”。我们走上桥，来到湖心亭，那里有许多老老少少的.人在那，他们有的在下棋，有的在聊天，有的在看景色，我们也找个地方，坐下来，听妈妈讲关于西湖的故事。游罢九曲桥后，我们又去了“慈善堂”，走进慈善堂，在面前有个大鼎，绕过大鼎，前面有个大佛像，佛像两边有两种麒麟，显得很威武。右边是个大钟，左边是个大鼓，旁边有个小池塘，里面养只几条美丽的鱼。慈善堂外面是个空地，人们在那里，做些运动，还有些中年的女人在那里跳舞。
西湖真是中老年人休闲运动的好地方，也是小孩子游玩的好去处。
