俗话说：有规矩自成方圆。但在如今这样一个自由又多变的时代里，那些老规矩似乎不再多么重要了，一个只会遵守规矩的人也会被冠上“循规蹈矩”的名号。那么，老规矩究竟有何妙用？它有何存在价值？它本身是什么呢？
在我们的印象里，一些有文化的人，特别是博览群书、以书为友的人，都有一种特殊的气质，他们温文尔雅、平易近人，说话做事不会让人感到不快。这其实不是知识的魅力，也不是书籍的魔法，是因为他们通过读书懂得了一定的道理，知道为什么要跟别人打招呼，为什么要控制自己插话的，为什么要有选择地消费，而不是任何人从小教导于他，什么事要如何做，而他却不知其所以然。可以见得，一个人要发自内心地遵守所谓的“老规矩”，也要他真正的明白老规矩是什么，为什么要遵守。这不是教导几天就能够轻松做到的。所以，只有真正理解老规矩，才会真正遵守老规矩。而守规矩是一个人自身气质和所受文化程度的直接体现，就如同教几岁的孩子守规矩一样，哪怕他是学会了所有的`老规矩，做起来也一样别扭。
在新时代，有些老规矩的确过时了，比如我们所说的“不许管闲事儿”，这话说得严肃，否定得彻底，但仔细想来，什么样的事情叫做“闲事”？这却没有一个基本的定义，是大街上不要随便劝架？还是朋友有难绝对不帮？亦或是路上摔倒的人不能扶？有些“闲事”，却体现了我们人与人之间的温暖。仔细想来，好像只有在大人看不惯孩子做一些蠢事时，才会提及这样的话语，这句话的意义也就不攻自破了。再比如“笑不露齿，话不高声”，这“不漏齿”恐怕是很难做得到吧！现在和以前不一样，总不能在笑之前还要想着用手捂住嘴，这女生还能勉强做到，如果身为男子汉，还要做这样遮掩的动作，岂不是会被人笑话？那“话不高声”呢？什么叫做不高声？现在说话以使人听清楚为主，这不大声怎么让别人听得清楚明白？每句话都用别人勉强才能听得到的声音说出，还不让人厌烦吗？
但也有些，是一个人必须做到的。比如“出门回家都要跟长辈打招呼”，这是一个人最基本的道德体现——敬老、如同现在学生回家，开门的一般都为父母，叫他们一声给予最基本的问候，难道不对吗？作为学生也没有其它能够孝顺父母的途径，唯有这真心实意的一句“爸，妈，我回来了。”，让父母听在耳里，甜在心里。
老规矩在中国封建时期尤为盛行，但现如今却逐渐被淡忘了，能够重新拾起未尝不是一件好事，但我们需要用足够的知识和事实去考验它，用足够的耐心去理解它。取其精华，去其糟粕，才能为它们穿上新装，就如同新年时的除旧迎新一样，用它们崭新的面貌造福新的时代。

还记得有一次，去便利商店买东西，看到一个很漂亮的玩具，我好想买，所以我去拜托爸爸妈妈。但，爸爸妈妈却生气的说：“好好的书不读，偏偏去买什么玩具，要花就花你自己的零用钱！”我伤心的走进我的房间，心想：“我的零用钱不多，爸爸妈妈还叫我花自己的`钱。”但是我真的很喜欢那个玩具，所以我还是拿自己辛苦存的钱去买了那个玩具。但，我才买不久，它就坏了，囊中羞涩的我，后悔不已。现在不但钱没了，玩具也没了。此刻，我才了解善用金钱的重要。
总而言之，就算零用钱再多，倘若一直浪费下去，早晚都会坐吃山空。我的目标是去世界各地游玩，为了美好的未来，必须未雨绸缪，现在起，就要养成存钱的好习惯。

The popularity of smartphones has exerted great influence on the way people communicate, so much so that an increasing number of individuals contend that face-to-face communication is being replaced by texts and images on the mobile phone.
There are more than one angle to consider this phenomenon. On one hand, it is pleasantly acknowledged that smartphones shorten the distance between families and friends.
