经过24小时的火车旅程，我们终于来到了我梦寐以求的北京。做了一晚上的休息调整，我们一大早就站地铁(人太多，没位来到人山人海的天安门广场。以前只能在电视，网络上看的景象直入我的眼帘，雄伟壮观，庄严肃穆的人民英雄纪念碑;金碧辉煌，气势磅礴的人民大会堂;高大华丽, 金碧辉煌的天安门使我应接不暇。站在广场中央欣赏了着万众瞩目的景象感觉就像在梦境一般。
进了天安门就到了故宫。故宫是现在一般对明清两代皇帝的称呼，其实它的原名是叫紫荆城。是全世界规模最大、保存最完好的古代皇宫建筑群。我们随着人群从故宫正门午门进去。
午门由高高的墩台和巍峨的城楼组成。从正面看有三个门洞，可是走进去转过头再看，却成了五个门洞，这就叫做“明三暗五”。 它是过去举行重要典礼的场所，如每年皇帝的颁朔大点就是在午门的这个大广场举行。
从午门往前走一段路，看到的是富丽堂皇的太和门。太和门是紫禁城最大的一做门。这里是皇帝上早朝的地方，和大臣们议事的“会议室”。明朝永乐皇帝主持国事就在这里。
在故宫里，最引人注目的要算是太和门后边的“三大殿”了——太和殿、中和殿还有保和殿。它们都建在汉白玉砌成的8米高的台基上。第一座太和殿是整个故宫中最华丽的建筑，人们称它为“金銮殿”，28米高， 63米长， 35米宽。前有造型优美的仙鹤、玄龟、炉鼎，后面是精雕细刻的围屏，它们将整个大殿装饰得金壁辉煌，既庄严又典雅。
过了一道红墙，就进入了生活区。这里有皇帝住的华丽的乾清宫、皇后住的秀丽的坤宁宫。御花园，里面有挺拔的松树、常青的柏树和巨大的榕树。在御花园里还有一座山，它的名字叫堆秀山，是用米汤、鸡蛋清把石头粘在一起堆成的，听起来容易垮，其实十分坚固。
故宫景美物博，我们整整走了8个小时也没法一一细细观赏，只能粗略浏览，最后恋恋不舍地从神武门出了故宫。

仲夏，阳光明媚的一天，我们一家来到了北京，开始了难忘的北京之旅。
到北京第一天，我们就来到了天安门。站在天安门广场中，远远地向天安门城楼望去，朱红的瓦砖，高大的城墙，无不显现出昔日皇家的尊严。我们迫不及待地进了城门，登上了天安门。站在天安门上的那一刻，凉风习习，我仿佛回到了开国大典的那一天，仿佛听见了的铿锵有力的开国宣言，仿佛听见了全国人民的欢呼声响彻云霄，仿佛看见了一架架神圣的飞机呼啸而过……站在城楼上向前望去，天安门广场上人山人海，一座烈士纪念碑矗立在广场上，长安街上车辆川流不息，一派繁荣昌盛的景象。
下了城楼，我们向里面走去，便来到了故宫，也就是古代的紫禁城了，这是歌舞升平、荣华富贵的宫城，一块充满神秘而又威严的土地。我们随着人流来到了午门。只见用石头铺成的地面已经凹凸不平，朱红色的城门上，锈迹斑斑，有子弹打在墙上留下的痕迹，也有炮筒轰炸后留下的大窟窿，据说当年八国联军攻打到了午门，无能腐败的清政府无力抵抗，只能签下了耻辱的条约，故宫曾经被敌人的铁蹄肆意的践踏，曾经被敌人的炮火无情的轰炸，这里记录下了国人的耻辱，是历史上沉重的一页。
再往前走就到了太和殿，金黄的琉璃瓦，在湛蓝的天空映衬下显得十分壮观。周围的小殿数不胜数，如同众星拱月般拥簇着太和殿。登上汉白玉的阶梯，来到了大殿前，大殿内金碧辉煌，最引人注目的是大殿内的十二根柱子，柱子上雕龙画凤，栩栩如生，殿内到处刻着龙的图腾，正中央还摆着一把黄金龙椅，把手上有一只活灵活现的龙，显得尊贵奢侈。
出了太和殿，一直往前走，最后游览了御花园，那里的松柏高耸、挺拔，亭台楼阁隐约坐落在密林中，真是美不胜收。
参观了故宫，那些珍贵的文物，那些富丽堂皇的宫殿，都深深印在我的脑海里。它们历经百年，却依然闪耀着历史的光芒，它们是古代人民智慧的结晶，是先人留给我们的宝贵遗产。游览了故宫，我明白了更多的知识，也更珍惜今天的生活了。

In Athens, the swimming stadium was not accomplished in time so that the event had to be held in the open air, which has brought negative effect on the performance of athletes. In one word, to protect the international image of China and ensure the Olympic competition, we must finish our preparation work well and in time.
Last but not least important, I want to express my wish to be a volunteer. In the first place, it is the duty of every Chinese to do his bit for the 2008 Olympic Games. The fifth day I went to the Summer Palace, I went boating there. The sixth day, I visited the Great Wall, it’s very terrific, this great architectural complex told us how clever the Chinese people are ! T he last day, I visited the Beijing University ----one of the topest universities of China . There are many famous people were graduated t here.
That’s a happy travel. In the future, I want to visit many countries. This is my dream.
