父亲的性格是严厉的，父亲总是在我骄傲的时候提醒我不要骄傲，在我获得成功的时候警告我不要自满。而妈妈的性格正好和相反，是慈祥的。母亲总是会在我不开心的时候来安慰我，在我做事的时候宜的鼓舞我。就拿上次考试来说吧，在考试前，我由于紧张考得不好而坐立不安。第二天我竟然考了一个比较好地成绩。我拿着试卷高高兴兴的回到家，向妈妈道喜，妈妈接过试卷，竟然像小孩子一样手舞入蹈，并不时又轻又抱。这时候爸爸走过来看了看分数说：“又不是满分，有什么好高兴。记住“谦虚使人进步，骄傲使人落后。”爸爸的一番话如同一盆冷水，消灭了了我心中兴奋的烈火。可现在我回想起，觉得爸爸的话也不是没有道理，也是一种疼爱我的表现。
