在孩子的成长过程中，有三个方面对孩子起着重要的影响作用，即学校，家长和社会，在这三个方面中，如果我们能有效地抓住前两者对学生进行教育，那么实际上也就抓住了学生教育的主要方面。在对学生的教育中，老师与家长的目的无疑是一致的，因此，我以为家长与老师的关系实际上是一种协作的关系。为了有效地发挥这种协作功能，最重要的就是家长必须加强与老师的联系。有的家长只是在开家长会或老师要求的时候才来学校，对学生在学校的活动几乎一无所知，对老师对学生的评价和要求也不甚了解，在这种情况下，不仅不利于对学生的教育，还会使有的学生在老师和家长中间钻空子，降低对自己的要求。
2、学校教育需要您的理解和尊重
尊师方能重教，一个不能赢得学生尊重的老师是无法使学生学好自己教的学科的。在这一点上，主要的工作固然应由老师做，但老师仍需要家长的大力配合。“人非圣贤，孰能无过”，老师在自己的工作中，同样难免犯错误，有时我们犯的错误可能会对您的孩子造成不好的影响。但有些家长在处理这种事情的时候由于过于草率简单，往往给孩子造成更大的负面影响。作为家长，应该积极在孩子面前树立老师的权威形象，使学生尊敬老师，才能使学生信任老师，而学生的信任是老师正常进行教学的基础。鉴于此，我们希望家长在家里不要当着孩子的面品评老师，而应该积极树立老师在孩子眼中的正面形象。如果真的由于我们的工作失误而对您的孩子造成不好的影响，我们希望家长能正确处理，积极与老师联系，而不是在学生面前轻率地对老师进行评价。
3、教师的教育需要您的支持
“十年树木，百年树人”，教育是一项十分重要也艰巨的工作，在这三年的生活中，我们希望家长能给予老师充分的信任，最大限度的支持。教育工作错综复杂，千头万绪，加之我们工作中也可能出现一些失误，我们希望家长能对这一点有充分的认识，为了孩子的教育，我们更希望家长能对我们的工作给予大力的支持。在遇到一些具体问题的时候，也希望家长能以孩子的教育为重，以大局为重。正确处理在教育过程中可能发生的事件。
家长和老师在对孩子的教育上目标是共同的，因此，家长和老师还应该充分信任。对于已经具有良好心态和学习习惯的同学来说一开始会与老师之间建立良好的关系，但对还没有形成良好习惯的同学来说可能会不一样，这部分同学可能在一开始就会与老师产生抵触情绪，甚至不能很好地接受老师的教育，对这一部分同学来说有时候老师的教育可能会显得无力，这时候就非常需要你的帮助和支持，需要家长应在中间起到良好的调节作用，共同对学生实施最好的教育，使他们能非常愉快地完成在夷陵中学的学习和生活。

2、他（她）们还是孩子
在上面所说的问题上，有些家长则走入了另一个误区，就是认为孩子大了，要尊重他们，于是无原则地让步和妥协，对孩子的错误纵容姑息，失去了一个家长，或者说是教育者的原则和立场。如果说上面的误区有可能使您的孩子得不到应有的成绩的话，这里的误区则很有可能使您的孩子走上弯路，其后果更加严重。对孩子的尊重和理解决不意味着家长就可以对孩子放任自流。现在的孩子们的生活中有足够的书籍，方便的网络，有相对于以前丰富许多的物质条件，但在他们的身边，也充斥着社会的不正常现象，部分影视作品中对孩子成长极为有害的宣传，网络中随处可见的反动色情的内容。而高中学生好奇心较重，性格品行未完全形成，极易受一些不健康的东西的影响。在这些原则问题上，家长必须寸步不让，坚持对学生的严格要求，使孩子能在高中这一危险年龄正常健康地成长。因此，家长应该坚持在严格要求的基础上民主管理。对孩子的业余爱好，学习习惯，交友倾向进行有效的引导和限制，使孩子能健康成长。
据此两点，我们可以说，对孩子进行正确教育的前提是要对孩子有一个较为科学和准确的定位，这个定位不是由某一个人做出的`，而是需要综合家长老师和学生的看法和观点。
3、家长也应该是老师
家长是孩子的第一任老师，而事实上，当孩子上了高中之后，您仍然是孩子的老师，对孩子的教育负有不可推卸的责任。但是，由于高中学习的特殊性，您的教育方法和教育观念也应进行相应的转变。首先，家长应该正确区分高初中的学习。在我国，初中是普及性义务教育，中考只是水平测试，其目的是要使大多数人过关；而高中面临高考，高考是选拔性，其目的是要使出类拔萃的人才进入更高一等学府，竞争十分激烈，因此在学生刚上高中时，家长要正确分析孩子的成绩情况，对孩子的学习进行正确的评估。其次，由于面临高考，所以高中教育的知识的难度深度广度等比起初中有相当大的加强，这就要生要树立正确的学习心态，对高中学习的困难要有充分的认识。在这一方面，家长应该积极鼓励学生，树立其学习的信心，还要引导孩子注重对学习方法学习习惯的积极探索，更要充当学生与老师之间的联络者，加强师生之间的联系。作为老师，我的目标是：和学生既是师生又是朋友；我想，这个原则对家长可能也同样适用，如果我们都能成为孩子的导师和朋友，那么我相信，我们的孩子们就一定能健康成长，在三年后取得让家长和老师都满意的成绩。
