广泛阅读有利于自身的发展。早在三国时期，许多人就有了广泛阅读的习惯。曾记否，许多文人墨客拜访大都督周公瑾，参观他的书房时，大家都为他的博览群书的.精神而赞叹。周瑜的书房中没有任意一卷书，他每熟读一卷书，便烧一卷书，而他已经读完书房之中的所有的书，故其书房中不见一卷书。因为周瑜广泛阅读，所以他精通各种兵法，学富五车，才智过人。如此阅读精神，难道不值得我们大家学习么？这足以证明广泛阅读对个人发展有较大的益处。
广泛阅读有利于为国家的发展做贡献。周恩来曾说：“为中华之崛起而读书。”二战过后，众多发展中国家迅速崛起，中国就是其中之一。如果没有像邓稼先、袁隆平、钱学森这类集知识与实践能力于一身的优秀人才，中国怎能发展如此之快；如果他们不广泛阅读优秀书籍，又怎会有超凡的学识，怎能去搞科学研究呢？由此可见，国家的发张离不开人才，而人才的培养离不开广泛阅读。
同为高中生的我们，虽学业繁重，但万万不可只学习课本知识而舍弃广泛阅读优秀书籍，此乃“小学而大遗”，吾未见其明也。我们只有博览群书，才能提高语文成绩，发展自我，为将来报效祖国打下良好的基础。
所以我认为，弃书而行，其未明智；博览群书，方为青少年之正道！

Taking the two opinions into consideration, I am inclined to agree with the latter one. Therefore, I still advocate that all of us should keep some money at any time so that we will not be too difficult in our rainy day.
