看着鸟儿在天空飞翔，看着鱼儿在水中遨游。也许你会认为世界上的动物很多吧！但你是否知道，现在的动物不仅不多，而且有的动物已经很稀少，甚至某些动物已经灭绝。根据生物学家估计，几千年来被人类捕以致绝种的动物至少有数百种以上。如此一来，那世界上的动物种类越来越少，如果我们不能够及时挽救的话，那么将来世界上的动物就只有我们人类自己了！你别以为我是“危言耸听”，你若不信，我可以告诉你。
就拿印度洋毛里求斯群岛上生活的渡渡鸟来说，由于它身上的肉鲜美无比，所以遭到当时人类的大量捕食，在十七世纪就已告灭绝。但是如果当时人们有动物保护意识的话，就不会造成渡渡鸟的灭绝。再说生活在我国青藏高原的藏羚羊吧，因为它其外层皮毛下面的被称作沙图什的绒毛异常精细，可以用来织成华丽的披肩，而惨遭偷猎者大肆捕。因为织出一条女式沙图什披肩便需要300至400克生绒，这意味着要牺牲3只藏羚羊的生命。所以在上世纪90年代初期，藏羚羊的数目只有65000只到72500只之间，要知道这只有100年前藏羚羊总数的十分之一。所幸的是人们意识到了保护这种濒临灭绝的`动物。现在北京已有多名志愿者来到可可西里担当起义务看护藏羚羊的活动。同时国际爱护动物基金会从1999年起每年为我国藏羚羊保护捐赠8万至10万美金用以在可可西里、羌塘和阿尔金山三大自然保护区开展反盗猎行动和针对藏羚羊保护的各种宣传活动。我们人类正慢慢将藏羚羊这种可爱的动物从灭绝的边缘拉回来。
朋友们，动物是大自然留给人类的无价之宝，它是我们人类的朋友。它们的生衍灭与我们人类的生活是密切相关的。动物的大量毁灭对人类将产生严重的不良后果，造成生态严重不平衡，从而使人类的生存环境遭到破坏。让我们从现在做起，从我做起，保护动物，使世界变得更美好吧！

it was in hot summer that i took a trip to qingdao, a port city in shandong province, one afternoon, i decided to go to the seaside to get relief from the heat. for the first time in my life, i swam in the sea.
at first, i was worried because though i was not a bad swimmer in the swimming pool, the sea was different. the waves coming one after another to the shore made a great noise and i thought they were going to swallow me up. i was terrified. cautiously and slowly, i went close to the water. how cold it was! i was just about to give it up when i suddenly caught sight of a small boy who was about a head shorter than me. weak as he seemed, he went straight into the sea without hesitation. i felt a little ashamed.“what a timid girl i am!”i said to myself.www
encouraged by his bravery , i continued advancing. soon all of my body was covered by water. before i got ready for a dive, a wave came over. it struck my face heavily and the water went into my eyes, nose and mouth. how bitter and salty it tasted! but i was not discouraged at all. i wiped off the water on my face, took a deep breath, and began swimming happily.
the waves became larger and larger, as if the sea was angry with me. when i saw a wave in the distance, i would hold my breath, and just before it came to where i was, i jumped up and easily kept myself from it. how exciting! i was just like lying on the clouds!
all that afternoon, i swam and jumped and had a very good time. when finally i had to leave, i took a last look at the sea. the waves were still beating the shore, but i was no longer frightened. “i must thank that little boy,”i said to myself.“it was he who gave me the courage.”

我们要保护野生动物，因为我们保护野生动物，野生动物对我们人类也会很友好。
比如说燕子，燕子能帮我们把田里的害虫吃掉。如果我们人类害捕捉它们，它们会吃掉那些常常来搔扰我们的蚊子，让我们更好地生活吗?没有了燕子，我们的周围变得很多害虫，这些害虫对我们人类有很大的\'坏处呀!
我举个例子。比如说啄木鸟，啄木鸟是森林中的医生，它可以帮我们吃掉树里的害虫，让树恢复健康。我们害它们，树木的害虫会越来越多，树木会慢慢地减少。地球上没有树，会发洪水、地震。
我最后举个例子。比如说猫头鹰，猫头鹰捉田鼠，是对我们人类有好处的，人类却常常捕猎它们。没有猫头鹰，田鼠会增加。田鼠吃的庄稼和菜就更多了，我们人类一样没有好的收成。
所以，我们要保护以上的动物。同时，我们还要保护其他的野生动物!

A tiger is a kind of catamount animal. It looks like a cat, but much bigger than a cat. A tiger is very ferocious and it eats mainly meat. It has yellow and black streaks all over its body and it looks very beautiful. Its tail is long and strong and it can hit its quarry dying.
Tigers live in the thick forests and small animals in the forests are tigers' food.
During the past years, many forests have been cut down and the living conditions of the tigers are becoming worse and worse. There are fewer tigers left in the world now. Tigers are the animals of the world, and they should have their own living spaces. We must do our best to protect the tigers and their living environment.
