小羊首先发言：“人类贪婪地乱捕乱，造成大面积的水土流失，我们羊族失去了完美的家园和赖以生存的水草……”一只小鸟说：“人类的乱砍乱伐让我们无家可归，人类的乱捕乱让我们痛失亲人……”老虎愤怒地说：“人类的乱砍滥伐让我们无容身之地，他们的乱捕乱让我们成为濒临灭种……”动物们你一言我一语地述说着人类犯下的滔天罪行，被审判的这个人觉得无地自容，羞愧地问：“你们将怎样处置我呢？”审判官大象说：“看你尚有悔过之意，权且饶过你，回去告诉你们的同类：要保护自然的生态平衡，不要为自我的一时之利而破坏生态环境，否则遭殃的不仅仅是我们动物和植被，你们人类自我也会因此受到惩罚……”
这个“凶手”被释放以后，决定忏悔自我的行为，然后用心宣传环保理念，用心参加各种环保活动。几年以后，这片森林又恢复了往日的繁盛景象，动物们又过上了自由自在的生活。
