“班主任由主科老师担任”这件事似乎发生在每个学校。表面上看来，学校重视学生的文化课的成绩，希望学生能在升学考试中取得优异的成绩；但仔细想想，这种现象的普遍存在正是反映出了学生不能得到全面发展的问题。曾经说过：“体育强则少年强，少年强则国强。”体育老师充当班主任，既可以让学生在接受文化课教育的同时，又能及时接受到体育方面的训练和理论知识。这样一来，学生就可以得到全面的发展，才有望成为体智美综合性人才。
再者，体育老师带班效果其实很不错。体育老师多是年轻的.老师，无论从年龄上还是和思想上，都和学生相仿，自然是可以和学生的思想在同一平台上。这样一来，学生们和老师之间的隔阂更小，更有助于学生和老师交流，不再是只接受刻板知识的知识输入输出。学生就可以在更加轻松愉悦的氛围中完成学习任务，不仅不会影响学习，还可以有所促进，何乐而不为呢？
同时，体育老师相对于其他老师来说，不需要批改作业，不需要每天备课，他们有更多的时间和精力，投入到学生的生活之中。在学习压力较大的学习过程中，有的学生无法正视自己的学习压力和生活不良情感，正如新闻中报道由学生因为学习压力或情感问题而放弃自己的生命，这无疑是令我们痛心的事情。作为家长，对于在校学习的孩子，无法时刻陪伴在他们身边。而体育老师充当班主任，在我看来实是填补了这一空缺。他们用更多的时间来关注学生的深层问题，可以为孩子在学习求知的道路上指明方向。
所以，我非常信任体育老师可以胜任班主任这个职位！
