四、为学生的学业提供帮助。网络上的各种资源为学生乃至教师均有很大的帮助。
弊端：
一、是上瘾的问题。一些学生沉迷于网络之中，出现身体上和精神上的病症，影响了自身的健康成长，并可能导致荒废学业。
二、是不良信息的问题。网络上有一些黄色、暴力，甚至是反动的信息，若学生自我防范意识不强，则有可能落入陷阱。许多家长因此而禁止孩子上网。
三、是诱发犯罪问题。受网上不良信息的影响，某些青少年误入歧途，走上犯罪的道路。
