But in every country it seems that people care a great deal about earning a living, and working hard is respected.
Showing people having fun together is always an important part of any movies, no matter what country it comes from. Different cultures sometimes enjoy different activities, but all cultures enjoy some form of sports, music and dancing.

其实笔者认为不应该区分成非此即彼的观点，觉得那有点武断，也太绝对了。这个问题不是正义非正义的观点，也不是你我活的矛盾，更不是革命与反革命的问题，这只是对一件具体事情、一种社会现象所表达的个人观点。
非要选的话，笔者观点很明确——不应该送。
送礼是一种不正之风现象，对此，各种媒体已经进行了铺天盖地的宣传，个中道理不需要再行赘述，笔者今天想抛开大道理，设身处地从一个家长的角度来说说看法，与大家交流。
其一、这样做，对学生的教育极为不利。家长都有望子成龙、望女成凤的想法，给老师送礼的初衷，都是希望自己的孩子，往好的方向发展，这是人之常情，本无可厚非。但是，学生此时还处在成长的阶段，如果让学生早早就受到送礼这种畸形思维的影响，那与我们平时对学生所作的教育、所描述的在社会上应有的行为处世方法，是背道而驰的，对我们的学生教育是个极大的负面影响，使学生对自己如何做、做什么感到疑惑，进而不知所从，甚至得出错误的相反的结论。因为我们平时在教育学生时，始终把送礼作为一种不正之风灌输给学生，可是，现在我们又反其道而行之，以关心之名，行送礼之实，等于从实际行动上又否定了自己的言论，成了事实上的自己打自己嘴巴。这势必让学生觉得家长与老师都是说一套做一套，在学生的眼中，家长与老师就成了口是心非，这样，以后还怎么教育学生，还有什么资格对学生指手画脚。这实质上是教唆孩子学坏，说严重点，甚至是一种对学生教育的`教唆犯罪行为。正人必先正已，打铁先得本身硬。要求孩子做到的，自己先要身体力行。
其二、作为家长，表达对老师的敬意，可以有其他的办法，并非只有物质这种媒介。作为老师，最希望看到的不是学生家长的礼物，而是学生的成绩与全面发展，因为这是对一个老师价值最大的体现，对老师的成绩最大的肯定，是对师道的最好的诠释。家长应该做的是协助老师把孩子教育好，让孩子养成良好的行为习惯，取得全面发展的好成绩，而不要把心思老用在送礼上。
三、作为家长，我们也不是空唱高调，并不反对在教师节等节日时，用一定的形式表达对老师敬意，只是说不一定要采用送礼的形式，更不赞成送钱送卡之类大送特送、铺张浪费的作法，这太庸俗了，这是对高尚的师德的一种亵渎。学生自己的进步才是老师最大的希望。
