今年五月，车友小谢，在江西美利达车友会论坛上发了一篇关于7、8月骑车环青海湖的帖子，看到后，第一感觉是自己难以成行，毕竟，要十多天的假期，工作上能否走的开还是未知数，我回帖祝福了他们，隐语是我不去。但这个帖子犹如一粒种子深埋到了我心里，随着时间的推移，它在不断地萌发，想去的越来越强，7月3日，我终于做出了上青海的决定，并在我的QQ空间上写上了这么一句话“事虽定，心难宁，仰望天际，期待灵魂得到圣湖之水的荡涤”。
既然决定了的事，那就认真的去做，我开始大量收集有关青海湖的信息，那里的人文、饮食、宗教、气候都是我关注的目标，各种环青海湖功略我都认真去研读，从中摄取有用的养份。并虚心地向骑过环海青海湖的朋友认真讨教，在前人骑行的经验的基础上，制定了我们的环湖计划，这个计划在其他车友的共同努力下日臻完善。
七月十日，我从工作单位回到南昌，借观摩2010“JAVA杯”招贤山地车越野赛的机会，与车友老杨、老谢、老肖等将程行程最后敲定。最后敲定后，考虑到山地车携带不便，我专门买了一辆大行sp18折叠车。
