People travel by plane, by train, by ship, by bus. For me, the best way of traveling on a summer vacation is to go on foot.人们去旅游有的乘飞机、有的坐火车、坐船、乘公共汽车。对我来说在暑假，最好的方式是徒步旅行。
My preference depends on the purpose of the travel. On a summer vacation I travel to refresh myself and to see the countryside. When I use my feet and walk on a grass covered path along a river or among the hills I feel detached from the noise of the city and closer to the nature. And when I travel on foot I get more freedom. I can plan my own schedule. I can choose my own route. I can stop where I like. 社会渐渐地发展,交通也越来越便利,许多人都拥有了车。现在去上学,即使刮风下雨,也不必担心,只要坐在车里,就可以安心到达,大街上，车水马龙，汽车排出的尾气在空中弥漫着。但这种情景也同时威胁着人类的生存环境：气候变暖、某地沙漠化、疾病突然来袭。
但现在的人们似乎已经认识这一点，有些人以“走班族”自称，他们上班不开汽车，不乘公交车，都是走路上班的：有些人又则以“自行车一簇”自称，他们回归原始，每天骑着自行车上下班，这种方法既省钱，又环保，就连一些公司的领导也加入了这个行列中，带头并组织不开车、不乘车，要多多为环保做出贡献，产生了较好的示范效应。
还有一种更为奇特的节约方法——拼车。什么是拼车呢？一天，我在马路上走着，忽然，一辆出租车朝我这儿飞驶而来，我往里一看，却发现里面坐着两户人家，这是怎么回事？原来这就是拼车，两个人同时想去一个地方，就可以同坐一辆车，这样既省钱，又省油，十分环保。
眼下，“绿色出行”已是全世界人民一个共同的心愿。大家都喜欢看见那清静的道路，大家都支持环保、支持“绿色出行”。我们期盼“绿色出行”，也期盼每一天都会“绿色出行”，让我们用自己的行动来证明吧！
