迷人的东湖公园是江门八大景点之一，坐立在江门市中心，它的存在大大促进了江门的文化底蕴。“四面荷花三面柳，一城山色半城湖。”这就是它的真实写照，东湖公园景色宜人、风光秀丽，是个休闲娱乐的好地方。
众所皆知，东湖公园是以“湖”着称。进入东湖公园，映入眼帘的是一个大湖。走在湖堤上，眺望水势浩淼、“芙蓉镜”似的大湖，真令人心旷神怡。数十只游船从水面上悄悄地划过，留下一路燕尾似的波纹。湖水澄清，清得都能看见水里的鱼儿嬉戏。
湖中心有一组精心设计的喷泉，中间的一个能喷三十多米高的水柱鹤立鸡群，周围的一百多个小水柱互相交叉在一起，犹如巨型水塔的塔座，加上周围的灯光的交相辉映，形成一个如梦如幻的仙境。水珠四散，洒落在游人的脸上，清爽极了。偶尔还会出现七色彩虹，为东湖公园又增添了一份情趣。
沿着绿树成茵的小道一直向前走，就是叠水瀑布。不先到达，先闻其声。瀑布声震耳欲聋，在三里外也能听见。瀑布落在岩石上，绽开一朵朵银花，颇有一番“飞流直下三千尺，疑是银河落九天。”的意味。瀑布的前方是一个荷花池，每到荷花的盛开期，荷花池的荷花一
定争斗艳的争相开放。一阵风拂过，荷叶荷花翩翩起舞。这时使我想起一首诗句：“接天莲叶无穷碧，映日荷花别样红。”一派生机勃勃的景象。
