初一端午节作文英语【二】
一年一度的端午节已经到来了，我们一家人开开心心的过了一个端午节。
我非常期盼端午节的到来，因为我想学着包粽子。我拿来了糯米，砌成了三角形。又拿来刚刚煮好的大红枣插到了糯米上。然后再用竹叶把馅儿包好，还用线来回的缠绕，觉得做得很结实。
接下来我把包好的粽子放到锅里煮了十分钟，拿出来一尝，糯米硬硬的，我赶紧吐了出来。妈妈说糯米不泡是煮不熟的。哎呀，我怎么忘了这一环节了呢。看来粽子我自己是包不成了，只有等着吃现成的了。
一会儿，妈妈叫着我一起去赶集，我第一次赶集觉得很新鲜。来到集上卖菜、卖水果的应有尽有。我看到了一个大西瓜，看样子已经熟透了，妈妈买下了这个大西瓜，我开开心心的把它抱回了家。妈妈还买了许多东西，我最喜欢的还是那些大粽子。
回到家，我拿起粽子就吃，吃的满嘴都是米香，特别是那大红枣，吃到嘴里又香又甜。
我们过了一个欢快的端午节。

五月初五，是端午节。说起端午节，我还知道它另外的名字呢！如端阳节、诗人节、女儿节等。
端午节吃粽子是为了纪念古代诗人屈原的。屈原一生写了许许多多的着名诗篇，提出过许许多多爱国政治主张，但是楚王不采纳。最后，楚国国土被侵占，屈原满怀忧愤，跳江自尽。人们为了纪念他，祭奠他，在每年的这一天，就把粽子和许多的好吃的投到江里，目的是不让鱼儿吃屈原的尸体。
端午节那天，我问妈妈粽子是怎么做的，妈妈说：“粽子是用翠绿、鲜嫩的芦苇叶包着雪白的糯米和蜜枣包的，如果没有蜜枣的话，可以用豆子等代替。熟它，需要煮一个晚上。煮熟以后，剥开变成墨绿色的芦苇叶，就可以看见洁白的糯米和枣团在里面，既好吃又甜，并且吃不腻。它既是开胃的美食，又是营养丰富的滋补品。”
端午节真快乐，真有趣！我又学到了知识，增长了见识。过端午节真好！
