I am a senior in Peking University. The 2008 Beijing Olympic Games is coming in two years. After watching the 2004 Athens Olympic Games, I can not help writing to you.
First of all, here is my suggestion for the preparation work of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. The construction work of the sports building must be completed in time according to the contract. In Athens, the swimming stadium was not accomplished in time so that the event had to be held in the open air, which has brought negative effect on the performance of athletes. In one word, to protect the international image of China and ensure the Olympic competition, we must finish our preparation work well and in time.
Last but not least important, I want to express my wish to be a volunteer. In the first place, it is the duty of every Chinese to do his bit for the 2008 Olympic Games. In the second place, I have a good command of foreign languages. I can speak English, Russian, and Japanese. Therefore I can be a qualified volunteer.

With a concept inspired by the famed Silk Road, our Torch Relay will break new ground, traveling from Olympia through some of the oldest civilizations known to man Greek, Indian and Chinese.Carrying the message "Share the peace,Share the Olympics."The flame will pass through Tibet, cross the Yangtze and Yellow Rivers,travel the Great Wall and visit Taiwan and the 56 Ethnic communities who make up our society. On its journey, the flame will be seen by and inspire more human beings than any previous relay.
I am afraid I cannot draw the whole picture of our cultural programs within such a short period of time. Actually, what we have shown you here today is only a fraction of Beijing that awaits you.Ladies and gentlemen, I believe that Beijing will prove to be a land of wonders to athletes, spectators and the worldwide television audience alike. 这似乎很难做出选择。
如果你问我，我会毫不犹豫的回答：“我会选择一本笔记本和一支笔。”
没错，一本笔记本和一支笔。因为这样，我可以记录在环绕世界旅行途中所经历的每件有趣或令人难忘的事情：可以每天给自己列一个清单，无聊时写写，或是画画沿途的美景……
假设第一站我到达了我们的邻国白俄罗斯，我会记下在这个国家里所发生的任何事情和沿途我所看到的美景。晚上，我也会写上一篇日记。我会给自己列一个清单，比如我买好了第二天飞往朝鲜的机票，花了一百六十八元，在这一天中，我的开销是多少，我都会记录下来，这样我就可以的对自己下一步的旅行，有一个完整的计划。假如遇到一些新鲜的.事情，我还会把他构思成一片有意思或感人的习作。在异国他乡，由于语言的不通，我还可以通过画画，来传递我们之间的友情以及我对他们的祝福。
就这样还不够，我还会寄一封跨国信件给我的父母，告诉他们我旅途中所发生的趣事和收获，并报平安。
