人们常说：“上有天堂，下有苏杭。”杭州之所以美，是因为它独有的西湖。西湖以它特有的魅力名扬四海，每天吸引着世界各地的游人，为它流连忘返。去杭州西湖游玩，一直是我盼望已久的愿望。
5月1日下午，我和爸爸妈妈、伯伯和赵阿姨一起加入游览西湖的人流。西湖位于杭州市中心，它依偎在山的怀抱中，像一位害羞的小姑娘。
西湖湖水清澈、碧绿，宛若一颗镶嵌在群山中的宝石，在太阳光下熠熠生辉。西湖边上的柳树的嫩绿色的树叶青翠欲滴，枝条随着微风扭动着柔软的腰肢，舒展开细长的手臂，提起翠绿的裙摆，跳起了优美的舞蹈。
我们沿长长的堤岸走了3个小时，由于游人很多，最后决定坐船到对岸。船大约有6米长。在微风中，船开始出发了。船夫在撑篙，我们坐在椅子上，尽情观赏西湖的美景。我们荡漾在西湖上，心里很兴奋。
波光粼粼的湖面上碧波荡漾，泛起的水波在阳光的照射下像闪着银光的鱼鳞。我把手伸进水里，水流冲击着我的手，把手往后冲，感觉舒服极了。微风轻轻吹拂着脸，凉丝丝的，真惬意!
我们乘坐的小船在湖面上荡漾着，不知过了多久，此时，夕阳西下，出现了美丽的晚霞。我立刻兴奋起来，拿出相机，“啪!啪!”地把迷人的晚霞美景拍了下来――水天相接的地方被染成了橘红色，中间是还没落下去的金色的太，那里的湖水倒映着晚霞，湖水好像变成了橘红色的，美丽极了!不一会，橘红色消失了，天空中出现了一丝丝鱼肚白，又过了一会，天空变成了深蓝色。
船在湖面上行驶，我们也兴奋不已，船穿过一座桥，停靠在了岸边，我们下了船，心里都在想：“如果再坐一次就好了!”
我们上了岸，一阵淡雅的花香扑鼻而来，我们穿过西湖岸边的树林，依依不舍地离开了美丽的西湖……

我和爸爸、妈妈悠闲地沿着西湖边走，只见湖堤两岸长满了柳树，青翠的柳树枝条长得已经垂到了湖面，婉如一个美丽的少女正在清洗她那长长的黑发。微风吹拂，柳枝摆动，又好像是风在弹奏悠扬的竖琴，放眼望去，一切都是绿，给人有一种大自然的清新气氛。
西湖旁边还有一个景色也十分美丽，那就是鲤鱼池。我看到鲤鱼池里有荷叶、荷花和大大小小的鲤鱼。鲤鱼的上身是像朝霞的红色，下身是鱼肚白，成群结队地游来游去，像一条红色的绸带在河中舞动，穿梭在荷叶之间，似乎在欢迎大家的到来呢！我看了好久才离开。
这次的游玩令我流连忘返，西湖美景将成为我脑海里快乐的回忆！

People travel by plane, by train, by ship, by bus. For me, the best way of traveling on a summer vacation is to go on foot.人们去旅游有的乘飞机、有的坐火车、坐船、乘公共汽车。对我来说在暑假，最好的方式是徒步旅行。
My preference depends on the purpose of the travel. On a summer vacation I travel to refresh myself and to see the countryside. I can plan my own schedule. I can choose my own route. I can stop where I like. 我们乘着小船又回到了岸上，我对妈妈说：“要是我们生活在这里该有多好啊！”美丽的西湖，真令人流连忘返！
