中心公园在永新县的中心区，面积达8.9万平方米，座落在建设东路与湘赣大道的齐界处，位于永新县城的北面。
南面的大广场上很宽阔，有的人晚上时跟着音乐跳起舞来，有的人穿好溜冰鞋在广场上高高兴兴溜冰，还有的人在广场上跑着放风筝。
中间有一个宽大的露天舞台，舞台中有一座银白色的雕像，每当一些节日时，有的人就会在舞台上表演节目，有一次我爸爸的同学也在这开了一次演唱会呢！这些人的表演经常引来人们的啧啧赞叹声。
中心公园中心有一个弯弯的水渠，沿水渠走了走，就到了文化长廊，这里展览着很多人写的字与画的画，比如有一张是这样写的：祝大家马年吉祥！……过了一会儿，我离开走廊来到了摄影展。到了摄影展，我首先看见了一方白色的网上镶嵌着“永新县摄影艺术展”八个红色的大字，里面有许多相片。
北面有一个将军雕塑广场，进雕塑群中，先映入眼帘的是一块黑色的大理石上写着“大力经营永新”，我看了看右下角，知道了这句话是毛某某毛某某写的。大理石上方，是我们中国艳红的军旗。大理石周围有4个中将的雕像，围绕雕像有一面有37个少将的墙，墙下有37个少将的介绍。
这就是我们的中心公园。

那一条条曲折的小路上，布满了形状各异的鹅卵石，有六边形的、三角形的、长方形的……在鹅卵石之间的缝隙里长出了一些青色的杂草。小路两旁的灌木丛中藏着五颜六色的花朵：红得胜火、白得如雪、粉得似霞……把小路打扮得更加绚丽。我忽然觉得自己仿佛就是一朵花，在路边和其他花朵玩捉迷藏。

达到的尽头，是一个湖，我和我哥哥来到了湖边，渐渐地，夕阳也好像也来凑热闹，她的光辉映照在湖面上，水美极了！湖面上闪着粼粼波光，像一条游龙，摆动着那长长的躯体。
