我们边说边笑，不知不觉来到了人民公园。进了大门，风景真美！可我们无心观赏，沿着碎石铺成的小路，径直来到了人工湖旁。首先映入我们眼帘的是岸边的几棵垂柳，垂柳已经抽出了嫩绿的叶子，大约有一指头那么长，像无数条绿色的丝带。一阵轻风吹来， “绿丝带”迎风飘舞，好像要用优美的舞姿来欢迎我们。还有许多婀娜多姿的“绿丝带”垂到水面，这更增添了湖水的妩媚。
我的目光移到了人工湖。这个人工湖是长方形的.，周围用大理石栏杆围着。低头看湖水，清澈见底。湖水在和煦的阳光照耀下，闪着点点银光，仿佛撒了珍珠一般，好看极了！但如果看得时间太长，就会眼花缭乱。在阴凉的地方，粼粼的波纹一条条交错着，织成了一块美丽精致的地毯。
通过林荫道，我们来到了九曲桥。九曲桥，顾名思义，是弯弯曲曲的小桥。桥离水面有二三米高，桥面宽五六尺，两旁安着桥栏杆，是天蓝色的。走上几米，就要拐个弯，怪不得叫九曲桥呢！九曲桥中间有一座形状奇异的假山，游人们都爱在这里照相留念。
九曲桥直通中间的凉亭，凉亭像一个小岛屿，坐落在湖中心。凉亭小巧玲珑，亭顶是绿色的琉搀瓦，凉亭的六个角稍微向上翘起，整个亭子由六根光滑的红漆柱子所支撑。凉亭周围种着香味扑鼻的核桃树，核桃树高大粗壮，枝叶也十分茂盛。
在碧波粼粼的湖上，人们愉快地划着船。船刚过去，船尾出现了小圆晕。片刻，小圆晕一圈一圈地荡漾开，而后又渐渐消失。水下，不时有几只肥大的金鱼鼓着圆溜溜的眼睛钻出水面，吐着泡泡，接着又一头钻进水里，自由自在地向前游去。
时间不早了，我们恋恋不舍地离开了人民公园。快出园门的时候，我还不时回头望着那令人陶醉的人工湖。
